I definitely wouldn't play it with a sub, no. The game is decent but based on what I've seen a sub of that height would make it too expensive to be worth it. It's a casual game with a payment model for a casual game. |

I would pay a sub, like I have for many MMORPGs, but then I wouldn't log on whenever I feel like it. I'd probably pay a subscription fee, play like crazy to get the most bang for my buck, and just burn out. |

No, because I can't afford it. 15 dollars in my country is too much (at least for my wallet). HOWEVER, if I was rich, then yes, I would definitely pay sub for GW2, because it's a fun game. |

NO
And not because the game isnt worth it but the simple fact is the developers are not making a sub based game so why hose myself any more then I need to. I tell you what if you must insist that you pay for GW2 you can gladly paypal me $15.00 a month if it makes you feel better.
Besides I dont deal in hypotheticals only absolutes. |

No I wouldn't. Not the game doesn't deserve a sub and other games do, but because I simply wouldn't have lookded at this game in the first place. A lot of the initial attraction for people is that GW2 doesn't require a sub or constant cash shop purchases. |

No, because MMO's these days only seem to hold my attention for a few months at best. If I'm paying $60 up front that should cover a few months worth of game play, they have a cash shop I can spend some dough in if I really like the game and decide to sink anymore into it. I don't think this is the greatest game, after a month is the true test for me. Not to say I wouldn't mind a sub if the game is great, I'm not against it. Its hard to tell in new games, after the newness is gone is there enough to keep me playing is the question. Games with box price, sub fee and a cash shop are just trying to milk that puppy any way they can until the F2P goes live. |

Like several who have had said so, I dont believe in sub fees either.
I want to buy a game. Not rent it. Even though I paid full price for it in the first place. I typically grab games off my shelf or whatever that Ive stopped playing and I like to jump in again at will. I hope mmo's move in that direction. But I'll enjoy GW2 that way for sure. Please and thank you.
If GW2 frustrates me in some way and I stop playing for awhile, 6 months later I might jump back in and have a good time. Especially since the game will be getting its regular patches and updates just like any regular mmo. Cool deal for sure. I want to own my game for the most part, and with GW2 I feel I do. |

i wouldnt pay a sub not cause i dont think its worth it
just simply i could not affored it
when you have a family, there comes a point where you draw a line sadly a subscription based mmo is on the wrong side of my line and i have much more important things to pay for |

As much as I love this game.....no way. I don't pay subs. The fact that GW1 didn't have a sub is the reason I bought it instead of WoW six years ago.....a game I still play and don't pay for anymore.
I have a very long list of games I would love to play but they have a sub so i don't. |

Isn't free to play one of the biggest selling points of GW2? At least that's what fanbois are bringing up every time when hyping up the game. Personally I don't mind paying sub for a game I like. Actually I quite like monthly sub because it's cheap but keeps at least some psychos away. |

The poll is completely worthless. Is the game worth $15 a month? It looks to be more worth it than any other current MMORPG on the market. However, it's not a P2P title, most fans of the game don't want it to be a P2P title, so people who think the game is worth a subscription fee may still answer no because they don't want it to be P2P. Funny thing is, I'm now sold of the B2P with benevolent cash shop model and I'm going to have to be absolutely bonkers over another MMORPG to ever pay another subscription fee. GW2 will blaze the way for more than better, more innovative game design. If the game is even half as successful as I think it's going to be, I think we will start seeing a lot of AAA MMORPG titles using the same business model in the future. I intend to spend $15/month in the cash shop, to support the game, but I also love that it's optional and if I have an off month I don't have to pay a dime to keep playing. I might pay a sub, but only if everything else would be free for the game, including expansions.
However, i might leave the game after months/years, never to return because of the sub. In the case of no sub i might play other ganmes at the same time but still frequently return to GW2 Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) |

No of course not since there would never be a subscription in this game, why would I even consider it? Block the trolls, don't answer them, so we can remove the garbage from these forums |

Originally posted by seridan At the moment of release it does not seem important indeed, but after a year or so, when you get that new game you wanna play, its much easier to return to GW2 after 2 months because there is no sub witholding you from making that decision. Voted yes, since I plan to do just that, through the cash shop, to support the awesome developers. |

If I were the type of gamer who subscribe to MMOs I'd say yes, as I find GW2's offerings way better than any other P2P MMOs out there. But I'm not, so in the end I wouldn't play GW2 if it wasn't B2P. |
