Seems like the only one attempting to create drama is you (and inadvertently me with this subsequent post...) The title might have been a bit misleading, but it only takes a few sentences to realize what it's actually about.

Kind of ironic to see that even some people half a century old are still childish enough to troll.

To the OP, from what I've seen in videos, I can definitely see your point. I'm pretty resilient when it comes to motion sickness in general so I don't think it would bother me too much, but I hope they at least add an option for you guys.

Yeah I hope they fix this as well. But I must say OP, if you're posting bugs/problems on mmorpg.com instead of GW2 forums.. you're doing it wrong.

So damn defensive when the guy isn't even bashing the game. I bet you didn't even read the post. He makes a valid statement and it can be a very real concern. Relentlessly white-knighting GW2 is highly unbecoming.

To the OP - Do you wear glasses? Might be a lacking vision thing.

Read the entire thing! :) I do apologize somewhat, not completely, but it just gets ridiculous with the stuff people come up with! One thing after another. Everyone did it with Tera as well. For the love of all that is good come on you guys. I understand the point of discussion but please, if  it makes you sick then you shouldn't be playing video games.

Tbh, I have to agree. It didn't make me dizzy or anything, but I did feel that the viewport was... uncomfortable.

I haven't noticed this, but I'm using a wide-screen monitor. I believe it automatically compensates for that. I do notice however that 60 fov seems to be the norm for games, and GW2 doesn't let me zoom out enough for me to feel completely comfortable. There are some areas that feel a little claustrophobic, and admittedly get the urge to press ~ and type 'fov 90'

Great game, sorry about the title.

However, and a lot of people have commented about this..something with the Field of View (FoV), the Camera distance and the Camera acceleration is just not right.

I personally feel a bit sick and starting to get a headache after a short while of playing, and others feel the same. It is most likely due to the very narrow FoV (about 60 degree) and the closeness of the camera to the character, even when fully scrolled back. I'm running around with tunnel vision and the abruptness of the camera combined is causing a kind of motion sickness.

After playing yesterday I logged back into my Rift account and, boy what a difference! I could actually feel my eyes relaxing, was able to enjoy the vistas in the game, and generally had a comfortable feel with he game, like with most other MMO's.

I sincerely hope Anet are going to fix this, by giving people the choice to create a wider FoV and scroll back further, otherwise I won't be able to play a game that actually leaves me feeling a bit sick.

Gotta agree with you.....got nauseous playing....thought it was a hangover LOL....but feeling was not there when playing other games.

I agree with the OP completely, logged in, played for about an hour searched everywhere to try to change the camera, felt a little naseous, and logged out.  That was friday, I havent logged in since, and unless its changed have exactly zero interest in the game right now

There are threads on the general section of the beta forums discussing this issue. If you haven't posted there go do so. Really need them to understand this is not a limited occurance.

The only "MMO" that ever made me feel sick and gave me a headache was APB.

Isn't this quite a big thing to change as the entire game seems to revolve around how we are viewing it? Is it a simple code change or does it require more to fix?

Sorry, don't know much about how FOV works.

It's basically changeable quiet easy. In other games it's just one line in the .ini-file aswell, like I mentioned about Borderlands.

That makes no sense. A FoV issue causing nausea and headaches is not trivial or "ridiculous" by any means - and he's not the only one who is bothered by it.  He's also already clarified that he doesn't get sick like that playing other games, so the problem seems to lie with this game itself.

It's a simple fix to a major problem for some people, so why condescend to him for voicing a valid concern?

I have run in to this in games now and then luckily I do not get it in GW2, played 46 straight with no headache.

I liked MMOs better when gamers didn't play them, and just geeks did.

I agree the camera makes the world feel very claustrophobic...and it makes me not able to play for more than an hour at a time.

Last beta I didn't have any problems with headaches or nasea but this beta whoa. I had to take breaks every hour or so because I'd be so sick to my stomach, I felt like I was going to hurl. I see there's a lot of other people complaining about it too. Love the game, even though there's no my favorite class, but I don't wanna be sick trying to play it heh.

This is a very real problem people face with many games. It's hardly nothing....

Your half-assed apology has been noted, as well as your weak attempt to save face after making a fool of yourself.

Maybe next time you can actually act your "half a century" age and keep your pointless troll comments to yourself.
