Face it guys, the hate and trolls coming out of the woodwork is in fulltime overdrive as we speak and it is only going to get worse. Every form of criticism is being used but undeniably they always return to cash shops, pre-purchase or other anecdotal escape in fermenting their animosity. The one thing you wont see though is direct attacks on the world environment, combat or innovative feature. Its always attacks on faulty assumptions and wishful thinking.
Stay strong and dont let negativity sway you in the slightest. I think its pretty safe to assume that this game will be a big hit with lasting impressions and no amount of hate or trolling will change it. Stay positive and I'll see you on the flip side of this massive beast. |

They do attack the Combat and Environment and the Dynamic Event Quest systems. But they just don't know how to attack them without making themselves a fool in the process. First off, there has been attacks on Combat looks Simple, only if you stick with just one set of weapons, because when you start switching, chaining combos, out of combat and swap more weapons into the rotation it gets too complicated. Then there has been attacks on Combat not like WOW , but then they realize that, how is that really bad?!? How about the whole dodge mechanic so you have to be aware to your surroundings, terrible right....... Then we got people saying the world is too big, then too small, then too big but has instances, or too small and not enough instances.......... GW2 isn't for everyone, but its definitely a great change of pace for the MMO genre. Haters will Hate, but eventually they will realize that this is a great new direction for MMO in general. I really hope that in the future, Dynamic Events will be a main stay, with hundred of variations, Down Scale in levels to ensure all zones are always a challenge also a Main stay with variations in future games. Is GW2 a Marvel of Innovation, probably not that big of an Awe, but definitely a huge step in the Right Direction.

Nah, there's really nothing redeeming about this game whatsoever (according to some). Every thing about it is in someone's gunsights. The schwerpunkt changes from day to day, but there's nothing that doesn't invite attack from one front or another.

Who did wrong? The advertiser hired to sell the game or the consumer who put faith in advertising? |

And no amount of positivity will sway the skeptics.

Haha...
It is a video game, it isn't like you are marching on the Holy Land or something...
Seems both sides spout off BS just for the sake of filling the damn forums with the same shit day after day... That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming! |

Go watch a PBS documentary (or read the book) called, "A Class Divided." Apply the lessons learned there to the dumb ass gaming rivalries you see today.
Somewhere, some marketing genius decided to proclaim one group of gamers better than another, based solely on the grounds of what game they played. It went viral.
Its kinda hilarious to sit and watch the pointless bickering. It has also made this forum a little less fun to read and participate in.

Seems I've heard this all before, right around SWTOR launch I think it was. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. It is a brand on the imagination that affects the individual who has suffered it, forever." - Noam Chomsky |

Im excited for this game. To me its sort of a no risk deal as theres no monthly sub. Im ok with spending 60 up front (maybe even 150 for the ce if I really really want the statue (and I might want it just to put it next to my batman from dcuo and darth malgus from swtor). With no monthly fee tho its easy for me to buy the game and if it needs work no big deal theres nomonthly sub Ill ust check in from time to time.
It looks great tho and Ill definetly pre order it. |

If you could find a way to resolve people's differences without fighting and simply accept that people have different viewpoints and that is fine... congrats you just achieved world peace. Not going to happen IRL, never going to happen on a forum.

I haven't actually read that many troll posts about GW2....What I see is that alot of people flat out don't really know if it is going to be a great game or a total bust......Some people are willing to spend 60 bucks to find out, and some are not. |
