I think the main question that everyone should be asking is what if....in W v W what if you have 100 Water Elementalist , 50 Engineers , 50 Necromancers all focuses On healing. Will they be over powering and break the game??

Originally posted by Lucioon no, you are assuming the incoming damage is less than a skill that heals very little and its on a CD of 40 sec. Also how would you win if you do zero damage to your opponent. |

I wonder who people will blame when they fail a dungeon now since there isn't a dedicated healer anymore. |

I can see it now.
Player A (elementalist) :" Looking for a group to run Dungeon" Player B: "Hi player A oh nice your a Ele" Player A: "Ya I play Water Ele as a full healer" Player B (After an hour of whiping because Player A refused to learn other aspects of his character): */kick Player A* "/all chat "LFM to run dungeon"
Player A(stomping feet demanding to be a dedicated healer: " why don't people run dugeons with me"?!!! waaaaaaaahhhhh" Player B: "I sure wish people would stop trying to be a dedicated healer in a game that doesn't support it"
If someone in a 5 man group refuses to use all aspects of his / her character they are making the other 4 players work harder to make up for them... |

Originally posted by TheTrueKing Literally the only reason I don't see something like this ACTUALLY happening is because by level 30 (first dungeon is at level 30) most players trying to play healers are going to learn that avoiding damage trumps healing. I have at least that much faith in people... I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote. |

Originally posted by grimm6th Maybe or they stick with a crowd that plaquates them until 30 because DE's allow anyone to participate and aren't that punishing to those who don't play the game as intended. It could be possible for them to be carried to that level and then have a rude awakening. But you are probably right, they "should" learn before then, hopefully. Although those types of gamers refuse to accept mechanics and force their own way of game play on everyone around them. |

Originally posted by TheTrueKing You are putting too much faith in people. How many weeks has it been since the first press release videos came out, and still you got people posting asking if there are healers in GW2. This will keep happening, and we will keep trying to educate them. But I stand before my judgements of that People are just too ignorant to educate themselves in new mechanics. They will keep asking and doing the exact same mistakes over and over, and will never blame themselves for not utilizing their class fully. They will say that its their playstyle and they just want to heal in a game that doesn't need you to heal. They will blame everyone else other than themselves. Its the new age of gamers. Originally posted by Lucioon Although I was trying to say it nicely, I totally agree with you. The worst part is that so many people then call us Elitist jerks because we do not want to tolerate what you described any longer. The type of player you described I call the "WoW generation". |

Dont let these people fool you, yes there are healers. They are hidden in areas around the map, you have to explore to find them. Once you do, feed them and they will follow you around healing. They never take damage, and they have unlimited hit points. Once you have your healer, you can finish the game in just a few hours, and take over the WvW. I hope this helps |

Play a water elementalist using a staff. 3/5 of their spells are a heal if I remember correctly (for the spells that are on the left side of the screen, forgot how many there were on the right). |

no different than any other class , every1 has skills to heal allys or protect them from dmg...

Also, you're wrong. Thieves have no ability that heals allies. |
