I'm so far behind on L2's lore at this point, though that I honestly have no clue how this all falls into its story arc anymore.

Good to see it's going strong still, at least in its Eastern market. Western market... not so sure about.

Wait...if I'm not wrong...isn't Shillien the goddess of destruction, and if so...don't Dark Elves follow her? So what is the DE role in this expansion?

THis game I will always cherish the time I had, but never return.

If only their GM staff was as good as their dev team, this would be the number 1 game in the world.

They have done a lot to squash the bots. over a thousand accounts were banned. The population noticably dropped. As for grind, it still is though some of the edge has been taken off. Still, the grind mobs vs grind quests lends itself better to grouping up to get xp. The game has steadily improved over the years though it is not essentially changed.

What is the role of the dark elves in this expansion? same as it has always been... Provide the crash air bags.   :)

I used those 14 days trail to see how the server was 1 month ago. Sad, very sad. Are now only two servers: a European and International (American, I think). I did not believe that this was once the game I played. The empty feeling like I was in a cemetery. please, for God's sake, STOP creating ridiculous how much changing daggers creating clones, wizards using both hands. Etc, etc, etc ... make the old players back. create new servers ... do something that turns into a new Lineage 2 game. For this ... It's already dying!

In some ways Lineage 2 was an awesome game but it some other, major, ways it was awful. In particular the grind was absolutely insanse and the bots hyperinflated the economy.

Sad really because it could have become a really cool game.

this game sounds like    " silk road "  so many bot probs you cant get in      if i could see the faces of the people be hinde the boters   i'll send them to laber camps      to know the real meaning of work

Probably my favorite mmo...

I actually preferred leveling with friends than doing stupid solo quests straight from  level 1 to cap.

The grind is hard if all you want is to reach level cap. If you take time to explore (since there are no quests to pull you everwhere), pvp etc. If you just treat it like a place to have fun instead of this mindless-level-cap race that the genre has turned into, it's great.

I'm not sure if the economy is still ruined, but all in all. I'm thinking about subbing back for a little while.

from what i hear the official servers are dead, to make things hmm, ironic? though, its nc softs own fault really, several times they were told to shape up and they did not, now we got private servers with 10-20times the population (per server that is) as the whole retail game does (in europe/americas atleast)
