Showing Off the Potential
The Lineage II team has revealed a Korean video that shows off some potential changes coming to the game in the next several months. In addition, a pair of new lore stories has been released. GM Event Survey
NCSoft and the Lineage II development team are looking for player feedback about last week's Trick or Treat GM event. To gather information, the team has a survey for players to complete with the expressed goal of making future GM events even better.

Free Server Transfers
As the Lineage II team has announced that free server transfer codes have been added to every account that has been active in the past year. Server transfer codes are good from November 2, 2010 through January 1, 2011. The site has the full instructions on how to access and use server transfer codes.

GM Trick or Treat Event
Lineage 2 players have the opportunity to participate in this year's GM Trick or Treat Event from October 26-28, 2010. During event times, an 'elpy' will appear and players will have 20 seconds to respond 'Trick or Treat' via chat. Those who successfully shout out will be transported to the GM area to receive major loot and a werewolf transformation when returning to the game.

Server Merges Announced
NCSoft has announced server mergers in both North America and Europe beginning October 5, 2010. North American servers will be merged into a single server with the same happening in Europe. NCSoft is taking nominations for the new combined server names and has announced that any characters under level 20 that have not been played in the last year will be deleted when servers unite.

Freya Screenshot Contest
Lineage 2 devs have announced a Freya screenshot contest. Players are being asked to explore the new Freya area and take their best screenshots to send in to devs. The contest is divided up by difficulty areas and photo artists are being asked to pick one category. Each category will see first, second and third place prizes awarded and everyone else will receive a participation prize too.

Too Much of a Good Thing?
One man thinks that Lineage II is too much of a good thing and has brought a lawsuit against NCSoft claiming that the game made him ""unable to function independently in usual daily activities such as getting up, getting dressed, bathing or communicating with family and friends" according to a report at Wired.com. The Hawaii man is seeking unspecified damages and wrote in his complaint that he would not have "played if (he) knew (he) would become addicted to the game".

Explore Freya
Lineage II players who want to check out the upcoming Freya update will want to log into the public test server beginning on July 29th. The interactive Freya site will also go live that day. Devs have a lot of activities planned for the public test server.

Gift of Vitality Event
Lineage II devs have announced that the popular Gift of Vitality event is back for another week beginning on Tuesday, July 13th and running until July 20th. Vitality levels are maintained at level 4 during this event and several buffs are offered to high level players as well.

Free Trials Are Back!
NCsoft has announced that the 14-day free trials for Lineage II have returned. The free trial limits characters to reaching level 40 on up to three characters, but will, of course, save your data so that you can continue the same character(s) should you decide to subscribe. The trial is hassle free, requiring no credit card details, simply download, sign up, and play!
