Assessing the Health of the Community
NCSoft and Lineage II developers are asking players to complete the "Bi-Annual Player Census" to help the team assess the relative health of the community. The census is now available and will be accessible for the next two weeks.

Goddess of Destruction Bringing Big Changes
NCSoft and the Lineage II development team are touting the significant changes coming with the Goddess of Destruction update. The second half of the update will bring improved quest balance, rewards and crafting options as well as thirty new hunting grounds, sixty new raid bosses and four hundred new weapons and armor pieces.

Throwing a Three Week Party

Lance Stites Leaves, Outlines Staff Changes
In a letter on the Lineage II forums, Lance Stites, the Executive Vice President of the NCsoft West Game Production Studio has announced that he is leaving the company after eight years. In addition to this revelation, Stites also outlines staff changes at the studio including Sean Neil taking over as Aion's producer and Marissa McWaters taking over as Lineage II's producer.

Springtime Gift Incoming
Lineage II devs have posted an announcement that a new 'springtime gift' will be given to all players. The gift should be accessible after the scheduled maintenance on March 15th. Included in the package are several appearance items including an afro, horn-rimmed glasses and an assassin's bamboo hat.

Playable Tech Demo at PAX
NCSoft and the Lineage II team have announced that the Goddess of Destruction tech demo originally shown at the gStar convention last fall has been translated into English and will be available for fans at this year's PAX East. This will mark the first time that anyone outside of Asia will have the opportunity to play the Goddess of Destruction.

High Five Update Live on the 15th
NCSoft and the Lineage II dev team have announced that the High Five update will be applied on February 15th on all servers. The patch brings a new hunting system, graphics updates, new skills, new raid bosses, updated buffs and more.

Devs <3 Players
The Lineage II team has announced that players will be receiving several in-game items in appreciation for their support and assistance in making "helpful and convenient" changes to the game. Players will receive a special bracelet that allows them to summon a Cupid and fifteen chocolate cookies that will instantly restore Vitality.

High Five Arrives on PTS
Lineage II players looking to experience the big changes coming with the arrival of the High Five update will want to check into the public test server. High Five has been released to the PTS and the dev team has posted detailed instructions on how to participate in testing out the planned changes.

High Five Preliminary Patch Notes
NCWest has posted a new thread on the official Lineage II forums with the preliminary patch notes for the upcoming High Five update. The effort came about due to players releasing incorrect information from poor translations of the Korean patch notes. The forum post details thirteen features that have been extensively overhauled for High Five and, while the patch notes are not finalized, it's a terrific forward-look at what's coming.

Wintermelon Woes Event
NCSoft and Lineage 2 devs have announced the start of the Wintermelon Woes event that will run from December 14th through December 28th. Players are charged with helping Puss the Cat smash all the mistakenly ordered wintermelons. Luckily, Puss the Cat has put presents for adventurers inside most of the wintermelons to make it worth their while for assisting him.

Accounts to be Reactivated

Accounts Reactivated for a Time
Lineage II accounts in good standing that have lapsed have been reactivated from now until December 7th. Players will have full advantage of the entire game and will also have the opportunity to purchase game time for up to 50% off once the reactivation campaign ends.
