I am seeking those interested in joining an Empire to dominate the world in it's search for divinity. The guild will be highly roleplay, but it is not required (but very much recommended). We will be taking an active part in PvP, there will be plot twists, and a little warning: things here are never what they seem...

In a time when gods have faded from the world, a time when all wish to claim these lands as their own, order is forgotten, and must be restored.

Even my brethren Dark Elves are blinded by their lust for the power of our race alone.

Fools.

It is my decision to create this document to set the law for a legion that will truly unite this world.

A legion that is neither good nor evil.

A legion that is neither light nor dark.

A legion that is twilight.

An empire that is shadow.

Only by uniting the world under one power can we ever truly advance.

Only by uniting the world under one power can we learn the secrets of Heaven and become the new gods.

I am Vayde, Emperor of the Shadows, and I shall lead those who can see the path as I do. The path to divinity.

Should he who reads this find himself intrigued, then I urge that individual to read further. If you have no interest in this direction, then throw this aside, and continue to live your meaningless life.

The gods held power, and thus my law is the belief in power.

Those who join me must obey these laws, you may question them, but ultimately my word is absolute.

The Law of Altruism: Any who are in the ranks of the Empire will be expected to act selflessly for his or her fellow pledgemates. I care not whether you help those who have not joined us, but selfishness will not be tolerated in the ranks themselves.

The Law of Obedience: In the Empire, you will be placed in a set position. In your position, you may have equals, inferiors, superiors, or any combination of the three. While you have power over your inferiors, you may not give orders without my consent. You are not given the right to command any of your equals, and your superiors are to be obeyed, though if you do not agree with them or their methods, you may consult with me about the situation.

The Law of Dignity: Within our ranks, you are expected to maintain the respect of the world around us. We are leaders for them, only if they defy us openly shall you destroy them. Personal enemies, however, are your own business.

The Law of Respect: All who serve the Empire are required to treat their pledgemates with respect. If you have any concern, bring it before me, and I shall see to the matter accordingly.

The Law of Magicks: All magic shall be permitted within the Empire. Magic is power, and it shall not be restricted in a legion that believes in power.

I, Vayde, maintain the power to alter these laws as I see fit.

I understand that one may be concerned with the position they hold, and may desire a more important place in the Empire. The following are the two means by which you may advance your rank.

- I may decide you have earned a new rank by your own achievements. If this is so, I shall contact you privately and arrange your inauguration.

- If you believe you are more qualified for a certain rank than someone who already holds that rank, you may bring your allegation to me. If I believe your competency for the position is equal or greater than that of the current holder of said positon, you will be arranged to do battle with him or her for control of the position during the next scheduled "Umbra Contentio." Should you be victorious, you will have obtained the title, and the original holder of the position will be reduced by one rank.

Obey this charter, and a new age shall unfold. The age in which Umbra Imperium ascends to claim the power of Heaven itself.
