You cant log in most of the time to play. When you log in you are unable to play because of lag problems with the Soul Shots. ( 3 weeks now ) I have never seen so many people unsatisfied in my life. NC sold items to people and then changed what the items do after the fact. NC either cant fix this or they wont. I dont know. This is true and things are worse than you can emagine. MMORG ..this is a good story. Investigate it. LOts of people feel like they have been ripped off by NC. |

Welcome to 2006:
Copied and pasted from: http://www.l2guru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33758
This post is largely founded on this one:
http://www.l2guru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33170 It has the same purpose but with an entirely different appoach. Now that we've more than shown that NCSoft NA would rather delete and lock our posts and ban or otherwise ignore our requests for action (or even discussion), it's up to us now as a playerbase to take this to the media. If we can't get their attention as players in the expected, normal way, the media and NCSoft Korea will when stakeholders come knocking on their door. The goal of this thread in specific is to keep track of what media outlets have been contacted and which ones still remain uncontacted. Please take ownership of one of these magazines/websites and take some initiative in contacting them, and let us know you've done so. You'll need to do more than copy/paste the letter we've been using. You'll need to explain the current situation and why we're going straight to the media. If you wish to remain anonymous send me a PM and I will indicate an anonymous person has contacted a specific agency for the sake of keeping track of things. Media outlets contacted: PCGamer - Healmeplenty PCGamer - Ernesto PCGamer - Numarie PCGamer - Arandir MMORPG.com - Mgz PennyArcade - Valith IGN - Valith Electronic Gaming Monthly - lxmoo Computer Gaming World - lxmoo PC Magazine - lxmoo Dutch magazines - Anonymous member German magazines - Gandi 5 Italian magazines - Yumah GameInformer magazine - madcow305 Yahoo/economic groups - Tansthantalis The Economist - Gemma Fileplanet - Xanchra Gamespy - Xanchra Hardocp.com - Xanchra L2Stratics - Narsilia www.gamer.nl - Anonymous Gamereactor.dk - Psy wikipedia.com - Temptat1on vgcats - Dulze 8bit theatre - Dulze www.ctrlaltdel-online.com - Dulze Warcry - Tansthantalis Power Unlimited - Anonymous www.pvponline.com - Dirte www.penny-arcade.com - Dirte Lineage 2 - Dragones Negros - Dragones Negros gamespot.com - Anonymous PCmaster - Anonymous Computer Games Magazine - Anonymous Official Forums - LOOOOL Blizzard - Anonymous Suggested media outlets not yet contacted: Investor corporations (see page 11 of this thread), this is huge. GamePro Webcomics - little gamers, www.bluesnews.com New York Times or economic-related magazines - A good presenter could do this with an emphasis on virtual assets and company banning of those against. This could be mega-huge. The more everyone contributes to this, the less its 1-2 people that look really pissed off, its the entire community helping and that says something. And as Kholdstare said make it clear what the problem is, don't just zerg the media saying "ZOMGLOL WE ARE OVERRUN BY FARMERS WTF AAAAAAA"; clearly explain that this huge botter/farmer and virtual asset problem exist, and explain that legitimate concerned players are being censored and banned for discussion on the issue. Mentioning the executive director for one of their games (Richard or Robert Garriet) supporting the virtual assets market would help too.
Quote:
Also, aside from direct media attention, "underground" methods can also be used to bolster support against botting and farmers. Do the following:
Alright, below is what I was able to do up real quick. This is a big issue that pages and pages could be written about so I tried to keep it relatively short.
I also didn't want to put too much effort into it considering that once we all start posting they will simply just start dealing and wont care too much about the content. If you guys see something major missing from it though post it and i'll revise as needed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To: NCSoft NA A forward to the Lineage players: Whether or not you feel you are affected by bots, you are. Botting and third party programs are detrimental to the Lineage community. Raid boss farmers and botters affect hunting locations, the in-game economy, and overall game content. The problem is so bad that on a daily basis honest people are leaving the game because they have had enough and do not know what to do about it. What is there to do about this major problem though? NCSoft wants us to deal with this issue in game; they picture a virtual world where the inhabitants are able to solve in-game problems on their own. This is all good on paper but utterly falls apart when looked at realistically. The fact of the matter is these bots are able to go about their farming 24 hours a day with the aid of either autonomous software or simply a few people that plays the toon in shifts. Killing these botters and farmers does nothing, as the experience grind and time loss from not hunting tends to not impact their ability to continue farming for profit. Report these farmers/botters? Everyone knows at this point this accomplishes nothing. When a farmer/botter is reported consistently for a month, and 6 months down the road that same farmer group is in the same spot farming it shows that NCSoft obviously does not care about their legitimate customers nor have the ability to enforce their own rules. If NCSoft can not maintain control of their own game environment which they have ultimate power over, how do they expect their customers to do so and have fun playing the game they love in the process? The raid boss farmers especially kill the enjoyment of this game and ruin one of the major selling points the game has to offer. Raid bosses give clans and alliances an opportunity to get together and defeat something as a collective while having fun. It also enables these same clans and alliances to outfit their loyal and hardworking members in effective gear to handle the other challenges this game has to offer such as the XP grind, PVP, and castle sieges. This aspect of the game is all but gone now, especially on the Bartz server, where the opportunities to raid are now few and far apart. These opportunities are non-existent because raid boss farmers have the schedule down to the letter of when each raid boss spawns. Even the most organized clans on the server have a hard time competing because we are not able to stay up 24hrs a day 7 days a week to camp raid boss spawns. The game for these raid boss farmers is their job! They can work on 8 hour shift rotations and only do raid bosses because they profit from it through real life currency, which as its written all over your companies EULA, is against the rules. All these issues are well known though so there is almost no point in continuing. This letter is just to inform the people at NCSoft that there are people who care enough about this issue to take things a bit further. We have tried to PK the bots off to no avail, we have tried to report them repeatedly to no avail, we have tried to outrun them to raid bosses to no avail. It is time for you NCSoft to step up and do the professional thing and deal with this situation. Do what everyone knows you are capable of doing. Yes, I might be difficult to catch every farmer/bot group running around but when know groups are continually farming raid bosses and are around 6 months later after being continually petitioned, it shows a serious lack of dedication to solving the problem on your part. As a player base we have done a lot to solve the problem but most have us have now come to the realization that this is out of our hands. Some people are going so far as to try and organize a full month’s worth boycott of L2 to show just how drastic this issue is. Its time NCSoft as a company, begins following time tested best business practices and look out for their true and loyal customers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~ Signature Played Ragnarok online (3 years), WoW (6 months off and on), Priston Tales (a month), Lineage 2 (6 years),every mmorpg on the game list for 1-3 months, every single player rpg from nintendo up to playstation. |

the issue ncsoft has is the same issue ncsoft had when they had those in aion,it is pando!it induce unreasonable amout of lag.i like the fact they put almost all avail setting for pretty much everything in game so why not use a dynamic encryption thing to make sure hacker dont get the file that ncsoft dont want player to access.yes it can be done check lastpass! a bit of woork way less work then pando that always take over your computer ! this being said i played yesterday and game was smooth ,but there is a 1.5 to 2 second response time this is a window setting it is too much of a coincidence that we fall bang on 2 s .i wont mention that setting cause it create other issue if you lower it but i hope pando stop using that window reference or ncsoft stop using pando |

After experiencing how NCSoft handled armies of bots and rampant RMT after the release of Aion (and reading the horror stories of what happened with L2), I swore to never play another one of their games again. I've seen plenty of people talking up Blade & Soul on MMORPG and all I can say is to look at the track record of this company before you leap head first into any one of their games. I will admit that they make beautiful games and the gameplay isn't all that bad, but their indifference and outright neglect when it comes to their community destroys whatever good momentum their games have going for them. Aion had great potential and from what I've heard of L2, it did as well. That said, I wouldn't trust them for anything and feel like their track record speaks volumes about what you can expect from them and their games. |

Originally posted by drbaltazar At least during the time period I am speaking about, the vast majority of bots and gold-sellers were based in China. Also, I am speaking exclusively about the NA release, though from all accounts, the EU side was plagued by the same problems. |
