Okay so Blizzard, aka the owners of World OF Warcraft actually do have better Customer Service than NC Soft.

On 12/18/2011, my Lineage 2 account was hacked, or at least I noticed it hacked, all my gear across all my characters stolen from me except one fo them which was the last one on my list and I think I interupted them when I tried logging in it kicked them off my account, but all my gear was in its inventory ready to be sold and stuff.

Anyways It took me until 1/10/2012 to get a response from NCsoft on this issue, and let me just say, while I am not blamming the GM as they did nothing to me, I am very disapointed in NCsoft Support/Service. There is no reason it should have taken them this long to get back to me, and what to do about my full +3 B Grade armor set which is gone, and my +8 weapon that cost me Millions back in the day all of this is gone, none of it will be restored by NCsoft, unless maybe they take my last response I sent to them and understand how disapointed in their service I am.

1. I did  run an AntiVirus scan on my computer and it detected no keyloggers, I also downloaded Malaware Bytes it detected no keyloggers either.

2. There is no reason why NC Soft can't restore my account to be exact.

3. There is no reason why it should have taken them this long

4. There is no reason that there is no Secondary Password for the Lineage 2 account service to prevent such.

If In fact it had have been compromised from a phished account in my email then they would have got into my master account, and done more than rip off my Lineage 2 account, possibly even changed the passwords for all my games and taken control of all my game accounts but they didn't because it wasn't phished by email I know what to look for on those.

If it was a keylogger then I have ran numerous scans on my computer it has detected nothing, then why have none of my other games been compromised either.

After reviewing your incident, I have found that one or more of the characters on the account do not currently have any class appropriate items equipped. To help you, I have provided characters above level 40, currently without items, with class appropriate sets of bound items or R-Grade Diplomas for Awakened Characters. If the character received Diplomas, they can be exchanged for bound R-Grade Items at a Mentor Guide in town. I certainly understand that these items may not be of value to what had previously been on the account. However, items remove from the account cannot be recovered.

Please be sure that you've changed your password hint question and answer for the master account. Also please update the master, game, and support account passwords. It's also a good idea to use reputable security software to scan your computer for possible viruses or trojan horse programs. For more information on account security, please see:

Please also make sure that you never give anyone else your account name and password. Additionally, please never use your account name and password on any website except for our official sites at http://www.lineage2.com and http://us.ncsoft.com/en/. There are many scam web sites out there that attempt to copy the look and feel of our websites. Please be very suspicious of any website asking you to enter your account information, especially if it promises things like extra Adena or other in-game bonuses.

And my response to them is simple.

1. I have no plans to return to Lineage 2 Until my account is restored the way it was before it got ripped off and don't tell me it can't be done either as a computer tech I know well that such can easily be done, and not to mention since GM's have the command to summon items in a MMORPG all they have to do is check the logs and restore it.

2. The only other way I would return to Lineage 2, is if they add a Secondary Password, and then I can find one of my guild friends to help me get all my gear back to what it was across all the characters on my account, otherwise I quit, I will not spend another dime in this game when they can't back up my account with the proper security or such, and I am not the only one to have had this happen either, but this is BS.

3. I am thankful that this GM did what he could, although he did give me the wrong set he gave me a Healers set for my Sorcerer, and he gave the right jewels, my original weapons equipment which was all +3, and my +8 weapon is gone, I will not play  a game like this.

4. I have played Lineage 2 since 2006, Why would my account mysteriously be ripped off as soo nas the game goes Free 2 Play all of a sudden there is no reason for this, why didn't they take my account when I first paid for my first month before the game went F2P why did they not take my stuff then if they had my information.

5.. I am also curious to how and who ripped off my account, and why nothing has been done about it, hey with all these rumors going around maybe it was a NCSoft Database error, or maybe a GM themselves, not to spread false propaganda around, but they never told me that my account was actually hacked, ripped off or anything they simply told me what I have said above and that is it.

 

Hopefully others learn from this, and Do not play Lineage 2, Until they add a Secondary Password, or Provide better Customer Support than this. I hate to say it but Blizzard has better customer support than this, and no I am not a WOW Fan either, but I did play it at one point and when it got ripped off I got it back in 24 hours.
