Gonna try this when its F2P. What do I need to know about the game? Like what to do, what to avoid doing etc

Update will hit on 30th of november. 

Game will be much more newbie-friendly so it will be pretty easy to get into it. The first levels untill your 2nd class change will be pretty streamlined with quests, after that you will have more freedom.

Also keep in mind this game is FFA PvP but with some sort of gank protection, I'd advise you to read this : http://www.lineage2.com/en/game/the-library/pvp-activities/

And this game is pretty unique, don't expect the standard themepark style gameplay but its also not a pure sandbox. It's more aimed at clan warfare and just general war between players for resources (raids,exp,territory control,bragging rights ;p,etc.) or just for fun. Your enemy is not scripted and you can decide for yourself who your enemy is. So you have to like that. 

If you are from europe I would also suggest waiting for the european servers to launch, www.lineage2.eu

This wil reduce your latency because NCSoft has it's servers hosted in the US.

Innovva handles the EU side exclusively now...well NCSOFT West has a "Euro" server but it has been physically moved to the U.S. now.
