has this new L2 gracia update or something happened already or not? if it hasnt, could anyone tell me the exact date the update will go live

its on test atm, and sometime in august for live, no exact dates.

I was curious about the same thing.  Nice to see it coming so fast.  Really looking forward to all the new updates and features 

Has this fast leveling patch come out? because i saw some things on there website regarding Gracia which talked about the fast leveling system, i dont but im confused

if you quit before even hitting mid lvl dont bother trying it even with the faster lvl update cause it will still take quite long to reach max

i just did not care for the hell9sh grind hitting before 2nd job, now that that will be alleviated, I'm ready to play (just need to wait on gracia hitting live)

i cant honestly take the "extreme change in experience game" seriously, for them an extreme boost could be a .25 constant boost, not bad huh? it'll still take months and i mean months, of pure grind

the point of this game having such a weak endgame and still surviving is the fact that very few people actually hit it and those that do have to grind a very long time to get the gear the need to be any good in the endgame anyway, i dont want this gracia patch to ruin the difficulty of the game because franctly it's a joke.

This game is dying, obviously- the revived posting section is strictly due to the face that the game is getting slightly easier, but once it comes out and people see how difficult the game still is, it will be in the same boat, but if it does what it promices making the game extremly easier, the game will have a "BC boost" where a ton of people rush in then die out slowly due to lack of things to actually do

olympiad is fun, pvp is fun, heck even pve is fun if you're an "on" gamer, but it's really just not enough to keep people interested in a game.

Lineage 2 has the strongest end game around. You don't need to be max level to get into it either, being level 65+ will allow you to experience most of it. That is entirely what Gracia is focusing on doing.

Describing Olympiad as fun shows your inexperience with Lineage 2. It isn't fun, it's a clan based challenge. You stack all your equipment on your best Olympiad characters and duke it out. 1% of the population whom can participate in the Olympiad actually fight, the rest are just point trades. Class Based can be fun, but if there are enough people to do constant Class Based Olympiad with you will still deal with the problem of too much competition and a low likelihood of winning.

On that note, PvP is fun, mass PvP is fun and can be challenging. You are PvPing to PvE. You want to kill Antharas? Be prepared to fight for it. You want to kill Baium, yeah PvP for that too. You want a castle? You won't get one without a huge fight. Even smaller Clan vs Clan PvP for fortresses and the bonuses they give. Then you deal with wars, when I was leveling up my subclass I would have to encounter PvP every 10 minutes, it's not a grind then because you grind to gain exp then PvP to keep your exp.

Competition is enough to keep anyone interested in a game. The whole politics and clan based warfare can keep you entranced for years. I see you've played WoW. You level to 70 then you raid... raid... raid... do Battlegrounds against strangers from another server for equipment... raid... and raid. It's a PvE game and focused on raiding. As long as they keep shelling out new raid content and new Tiers they will keep subscribers.

You should really read up on what people are experiencing first, people have reported from the PTS that it alot easier and its not 0.25 easier it takes 1/4 of the time it took before to lvl, items can be acquired by 1/5 of their original price, i dont see how this can be "not making it easier". As far as dying, i think L2 "died" a while ago, its just a niche game now, there is still of people to play with.

lin 2 has shrunk to a niche in the US... in asian market it is still growing, and owns the majority of the gaming marketplace there.

Yeah L2 is a very very good game, just the grind did not go over so well here.
