Hey Hey, just started playing and so far I'm enjoying myself, but I had a few questions on customizing some of the stuff int he game (if it's possible).

There is no way, that I am aware of to reverse the scroll zoom. Page Up and Page Down also zoom you between 1st person view, 2nd person view and panoramic. You can play in full screen or window mode. In Full screen you can set your resolution. Once set everything snaps to that scale so regrettably you will not be able to increase the font size, without reducing your FoV. Your settings should remain extant between log ins. If you're having issues, the second tab in options - Audio/Settings has an initialise button. Use that and redo the window positioning from scratch. You can move all your windows around, you can resize the window, but you can't increase the font size :( In window mode (alt+enter) the resolution will not be displayed, nor the refresh rate. You can effectively resize your window untill you are happy with both the ingame resolution of objects and text boxes. Again these settings should be captured by the client and remembered next time you log in. I'm not sure what happens if you set your settings to high, I'm operating at 1600x1200 atm and things run fine for me, I haven't tried to go above that resolution, maybe you have reached some form of ingame limit, and therefore your resolution is reset to some set game threshold. At this stage of the game there is no plan to change the colours of the font within the display. The lack of area shouts or local conversation is generally due to the majority of the ppl using Ventrilo or Teamspeak to communicate. Typing in L2 is unmanageable in any serious combat situation. The game is just too dynamic for that. More interestingly you will get a chat ban from the game if you type too fast in pm's to someone. Thats just one of their antispamming measures, but it goes a little further to illustrate that anything to do with ingame typing has a pretty low priority in terms of content development.

Thanks for the update. I tried the initialize button and moved the health bar to the area I wanted and resized it. But once I logged out and back in, the Health bar was back in the upper left and small again. So I can't get that to stay.
I see no one really speaks in the game, so that's weird to me. I guess I'll only have to struggle when my one friend private messages me.
Welps other than the lack of customizing, I'm enjoying the game so far. Thanks again. |

With all due respect I think it's great Lineage 2 was my first game. Since then I've tried other games and was horrified at the chit chatting that was going on. I always have to turn off the OOC chats as they just scroll by with busy talk. more to the point, in Lineage 2 you have more talk within clan and alliance. This to me is the way it should be as you start getting closer relationships and can better gauge whether or not the group is to your liking. As far as chit chatting in town with everyone? someone would eventually get tired of it and hunt you down. |
