OK, so about 4 or 5 weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and try this game out.  So I went to BestBuy and bought the new Lineage 2 Package (love the shiny box btw... seriously nice art).

Ok, so I bought that awhile back and never got around to installing it because I wanted to finish up playing another game before I moved onto this one.  Anywhot, I used to work at one of these Mom and Pop game stores and they sell PC games... Well they USED to sell PC Games.  Seems they aren't selling enough PC Games so they discounted a ton of their stuff to get rid of it and focus on Console Games since that's where they make all there money.  Anyway, I know the people that work there really well and always shopped there since they always sell new games $5 cheaper than major retailers.  So they are cool people.   One of the games they discounted but were never able to get rid of, especially now with the new package out, is Lineage 2.  They had 3 copies left and they just gave them to me.  AWESOME!  It's this version of the game BTW:

Now I'm not asking which one I should install, because I know all the expansions in the game are free and included by downloading for any boxed version you buy.  BUT it seems that each box comes with an ingame item with sign up (SWEET, I love free ingame stuff).  The red one (Epic Collection) comes with an ingame item not listed (but from what I'm told it's a Mask that is kind of neat) and the shiny dark blue version (4th year anniversary edition) comes with a different mask and a cute pig pet thingy (whatever).

So the question is this.  Should I sign up using the Red Epic Collection first since that's the older one to collect my item and then add the Dark Blue 4th Year Anniversary edition to the account and collect that item?  Or will it not allow me to even do that?  I notice I get 1 free month on each box, but I assume for the new account it will be free for a month but if I add the other one it will just negate the free month and I'll have to use the included time card since that's how other games work... Right?  I guess the main thing is getting all my cool free prizes?  How should I go about signing up for this?

OH... And thanks in advance for any help anyone provides.  STAY COOL People!

install the game with the epic collection and use the cd key from the dark blue version (4th year anniversary edition to make a account.

you might need 2 account's tho, so what class are you going for?

Why should I install with the Epic Collection?  From what another person told me in a PM is that the Dark Blue 4th Year Anniversary Edition has most of the updates so it won't have to download as much as the Epic Collection.  And you're saying that I need to create two accounts to get all my prizes?

And I have no idea what I'm going to be since I haven't played it yet.

well just install the game with the cd that has the newest off the patches, i just thought the epic collection was the newest i guess im wrong.

and no you don't need 2 account's i dont know how it work's if your cd key is bound with your prices or they on seperate key's, it's more for when you play l2 that it be good to have a buffer

Welps I'm still confused (no offense).  I just want to cash in all my prizes.  So if anyone else has a take on the situation feel free to post.

~Greatness~

Each account you subscribe to with the cd-keys you got, you get a prize so all 4 boxes you have you subscribe, then you get 4 masks. To actually get them, search lineage2.com forums since my accounts were either during beta or during the first few months of retail so don't know about this stuff.

See I was curious if I install the game using the new 4th Anniversary Edition DVD, put in the Code for the Epic Collection (older box) cash in my prize, then go back and put in the 4th Anniversary Edition Code into the same account and cash in the prize for that, that I would be good to go.

And there is also some funny wording on the back of the 4th Anniversary (the newest version) of the game that makes me think I can do this but just trying to get verification. On the back of the box it says "LOYALTY HAS ITS REWARDS. QUALIFIED VETERANS EARN DISCOUNTS ON ACCOUNT SERVICES." So it seems you can add a key code from the 4th Anniversary box to existing accounts... I'm just curious if they get the Mask and Pet prize if you've already used a key code from an older collection box.

Hopefully what I was asking made sense? In a few minutes I'm going to start browsing the official Lineage website to email account or customer support from the official Lineage page. I would of asked this question on the official Lineage 2 forums BTW... but you need to have an ingame account already to post on their forum boards.

To be honest I don't think it matters which disk you use to install. Just use one or the other codes to make an account and then just add the extra codes for the masks and stuff.

To that point, if you are not a veteran you won't get veteran's rewards. But I'm not sure how they are defining that.

OK so you think if I use the codes from both games on the same account I'll be able to collect all the ingame items included with those codes?

oh yes. At least with codes that are designated for "items" and not account codes. I have the half mask code on my account and intend on purchasing this new edition for the black mask and veteran benefits (in case I should ever want to use them).

Ahhhh, thank you so much.  So you're going to end up doing the same thing then.  I really appreciate your help.  I'm still emailing Lineage 2 support just to verify, but I really appreciate it.
