When I start playing a new game I actually like to feel like a noob again. When I first played wow I felt like I had already played as the interface and gameplay mechanics felt so familiar. Give me something different I say! The only games that I can recall where it made me feel lost and noobly and ohh so interesting was EvE online and last week when I resubscribed to Lineage II. Playing Lineage II is an awesome learning experience as I feel like everything I have ever learned about mmo's has just been thrown out the window. It is such a good feeling to be a noob again!!   There are so many things here that are totally different from any other mmo. I just started playing with my new neighbor and we both have played about every mmo there has been in the last several years. We both feel like complete and total noobs now and that is a feeling I havent had in such a long time as about every other mmo has almost the exact same gameplay mechanics as every other one. There is even a different game expierence depending  on your choice of gender.   Nothing in this game works as you would expect from past mmo experience and that is simply an awesome feeling . Try it you might like it until the insane grind kicks in. It is not an easy game by no means but the rewards seem to be worth it....   If anyone has played this game and knows what im talking about please feel free to add your comments to mine as i'm kinda at a loss for the right words to describe this concept...                

Definitely, I love feeling like a noob again in Lineage 2 but only if I have someone to play with like you do, now adays none of my friends play Lineage 2 (well I stopped as well) so if I joined back, I would just continue with my character rather than make another. I suggest you two join an Academy, get some free armor, and get yourselves up to higher levels, very great experience.

I was asked recently what was the one single moment which "hoooked" me on L2. My response was that aside from mind blowing graphics (Circa 2004 when we started playing) it was when my noobie elf fighter first encountered an orc archer down the road from the elven village. I was simply amazed that there was an arrow (followed quickly by several others) actually sticking out of my char. Sure they faded after about 10 seconds but the initial impact of that level of combat resolution detail had me sold.

YOu will hate being a noob, lineage sucks unless you are 75+, preferebly lvl 78+ on some classes. And it takes lots of time to get there btut i think you should enjoy it while you can, dont let me ruin it :P I also love this game but its not newbie friendly, far from. reason why lots of people bot. Thoe they made it a bit easier for noobs at low lvls getting cash is still hard. The only way to survive this game is accept slow progress and      enjoy it anyway thoe there is no pvp anymore at low lvls or bot/buy aden from farmers. There is a new server (luna) might be better for you but from what i heard its 90% russians :S

I never liked any game as Lineage at release, allways lots of people and pvp in cruma, fun groupplay. Interessting crafting and lots of drama (just fun to laught at :)  The memories from time after open beta is the best in my gamingtime.

Definitely, those days were my best memory in any MMO, everyone was so social and less care, now you have to get high levels as fast as possible without time to enjoy the better things. I am glad OP is enjoying it.
