I need a MMO till WAR and ive tried pretty much everything. Im currently playing GW with my friends but i want a sub based game. Is it easy to find people of all levels. Also just messing around i found that a full PL is over 2.5k does it get that much harder to lvl close to max level and if so is it possible to have fun way before then. |

Well, I don't want to be "that guy" but this has been answered so much recently that I feel that my hands can't type it anymore. Others have done the same. So read this thread a bit: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/thread/171040 And if you have any specific questions then I would be more than happy to answer them. However, YES it is much much harder to lvl closer to top and quite frankly, unless you are set up by a clan with great gear, who takes you to the best spots and essentially forces xp down your throat it could very well be a year or more to lvl to top. |

Getting top level in this game without paying your way to it through farmers to power lvl you , i'd say its going to take you a good while , i can't even put a timeframe on it , i kinda game up at lvl 70 with 2 characters, simply couldnt be arsed to do the grinding anymore. But hey well Lineage 2 is good for a while till you get bored of it , but so is every other game |

Originally posted by Arndur I just clicked it and it took me to the thread a few down "who plays this game". If it doesn't take you there (and I don't know why) then just go to the thread a few down. I outline what the game is essentially about. Hopefully that will help a bit. |

Plated Leather set is more than 2.5m. Before I quit, boots alone were 8-10m. But it is a rare C-grade armor set and really only a realistic option for re-rollers and ebayers. Better to go with Theca ,imo. |

I looked at a clip about this game it looks a tiny bit like Rappelz and Heroes Online ect. is it any good because my friends say that is not as good as it looks and that it is copying some other games but i have no personal opinion. |

Originally posted by 7fireeye7 lol.. well, first off a few things. This is an Asian Game. You can tell your friends that and then educate them. The Asian market actually borrows from each other freely as their sense of intellectual property isn't quite like ours. To further illustrate, when L2 was first being made, the NC NA office received a poster from NC Korea. It had all the Lineage 2 characters but in the center there was a character that looked exactly like Yoda. With fiery sword. NC NA had to explain to them that they couldn't do that because over here that would give them a law suit. I believe this came out before rappelz. I will tell you this. In my opinion, games like rappelz or 9 dragons or any of those other games sort of feel junky to me. Archlord had the same thing. L2 is a lot more polished, less junky feeling. At its heart it's a brilliant game because the gameplay revolves around the players. It is very much like a sandbox game in that most of the content is based upon player vs player interaction. It's not really a "roleplaying" game though people can (and do) roleplay if they wish. But, if you look at any of the forums you will not only find discussions on this class or that power but you will find a lot about what is going on in each server as far as politics, wars, griefers, heroes, etc. It is a very very good game. It has its problems. There are people who buy money from RMT companies, there are people who bot. Some people accept or even encourage it and many do not. NC Soft says that it tries to fight it and I've seen both evidence strongly for and against. It is a very, very, very hard game in that it has a huge grind (which is a lot better than when the game first launched) as well as a hard money grind. It is open pvp. Griefing and scamming is allowed. There is a lot of content but in the end much of it is the same as it is a grind game. There are all sorts of raid bosses and the epic bosses aren't done all the time as they are hard to organize. Only the strongest allies succeed. The castle sieges can be anything from extremely amazing to extremely boring if someone signs up but doesn't show up. This is done sometimes to make the castle holding clan waste their time. I've tried several Asian games (rappelz, Archlord, 9 dragons, Sword of the New World, and RF Online. Lineage 2 is just a better version of those as far as the quality. However, if there are specific gameplay elements that you hate (grind, open pvp, the karma system, etc) then I can see where one might outshine another. Also the Lineage 2 quests are for nothing and not even worth doing except the quests that require you to change classes, add subclass etc. I also think the developers are arrogant and are working to the beat of their own drum. |

Originally posted by Sorrowho Well, as I've said, I've seen evidence for and against. Spam recently responded to a post indicating that they ban thousands of bots every week. Given the numbers involved one can understand how "not all" bots are banned at once. I've reported bots that haven't been banned within a few days of my reporting them (though who knows what happened to them afterwards as I've not seen them since) I've reported bot trains that were actually removed within minutes of my reporting them. I've seen people who claim they bot and who say that NC does nothing. I've seen posts by people who did bot and admitted they were caught (one person I actually know in game... well, not anymore as he was banned). I've seen countless threads by people who were banned but claimed they did nothing wrong. So obviously there are bannings. And obviously there are still issues as you see bots in prime hunting areas all the time. So I stick with my statment. I've seen strong evidence for and against. |

I think you need to read my post as I made it. We have several things here. Some are known and some are not. First off, we know there are bots in the game. Both "pro" and player. We know that these players are banned. How? There were several high profile bots/farmer bosses (?) who are just no longer there. They have a short time in the sun and they are then gone. I have personally seen a gm remove a group of bots. There have been large "sweeps" where I suddenly log in (this was before the servers current state) one day to see many normal servers and then suddenly they are all light and not a bot in sight. We then have the myriad players who admit that they botted and were banned (One i know in game as an example - he wanted to level the toons quickly so he could sell them. he was caught) as well as many who claim they didn't do anything and were also banned. Because of this they will never buy an NC soft product again. yadda, yadda, yadda... Then you have the evidence of mulitple bot parties in Catas/Necros, well, all over the game world, really. They come and go but they are not gone. You have players who say they bot but are never caught (which may or may not be true, who knows). Spam has said they are inundated with the bot problem and spend far too many resources dealing with it. So we can surmise from all this that: A. there are a lot of bots We all know that there is RMT i | |
