Ok . I have been on the game for 3 weeks.

From what I have heard and now seen, this game is NOT for the faint hearted. It is very hard from 3 differnet areas. Number one is leveling, it takes along time to solo, but average pace with a group. Number two is money, it is very hard to get cash because there are alot of money sinks like soulshots. Soulshot are like ammo for swords,magic,etc to get a better damage rating. Number three is travel , the control setup is very hard to master because it is different than anything else.  Plus teleporting is expensive to do all the time. ( atleast from a new guys pockets)

Now I am not saying that those things are bad. That is what I really like about the game.  I like a very hard game because frankly everything else out there is way too easy.

The graphics are good and the terrain is different from each area I have explored. There are some breath taken areas that are very pretty. The sounds in game aren't great but serve their purpose.

Community is awesome. I have meet alot of great people in the last several weeks and this was one of the things I heard bad things about. But let me say that unless you are just rude yourself. I have yet to meet a bad person. And yes I talk alot so that means something to me. Very very good  world community,  I am not just playing with US people. I am in a clan that just about every person is from a different part of the world.

Fighting takes a bit of thinking because of the different skills used. I love this and think this is one of the better fighting games out there. You really do have to think in order to kill that thing. I am not talking about the low level things, just monsters around or higher than your level.

Is this game fun. I would say yes and no. Ok you might be thinking HUH. Well it is fun, because it has so many things to offer. But it can be frustrating when you die and lose 15% of your experience. But that is where the excitment comes in. You really really REALLY don't want to DIE. Which makes the game fun and heart pumping.

Well I am now a full fledged subscriber. And I highly Highly HIGHLY recommend this game. But please take the 2 week free play. The only thing you can't do is buy from players (all I seen so far).

But please remember this is not Everquest 2 or World of Warcraft. If your trying to find that easy game, this isn't it.

Glad you are having a good time, its definitely a long road to the top in L2.  As for variety of fighting, I'm guessing you're not playing a Silver Ranger. (my old class).  That was pretty much... shoot with double shot, shoot with strong shot, drop a few soul shots, repeat. Oh yeah, and a bit of kiting to keep it fun.

I wish i had been able to stick with it, would have loved to be part of the castle sieges and stuff.

I am on Hindemith. Also have a toon on Bartz, but brother in law and son made characters on Hindemith. So more than likely will stick here. I like to whip them for doing it, but I never told them to make a toon on Bartz when I was at work.

the fighting is pretty straight forward when you solo, it defintly depends on class, but most classes just spam 1 or 2 skills from 1 to 75 as attack's i woulden't consider that thinking...
