Hello there!
The games are quite diffrent from eachother. In EQ2 u have a distinct storyline with quests to follow, quests make u advance in lvl and so on. L2 sure have some quests but u will be better of to just hit a field and farm monsters to lvl.
EQ2 is a PvE game and L2 is a PvP game in my opinion. If u are up for some real dedicating gameplay and have a lot of patience....and like PvP ofc...then L2 is a great game! If u are more a player who wanna play 1 hour there and another one there I would guess EQ2 is ur choice.
Im hooked on L2 and so Ive been since launch. But its a matter of taste. Dunno if this helped much but this is my view of it. |

I played both EQ and L2 and they are just not the same game, very hard to compare. Everquest2 is alot more about doing quest and following a premade storyline. And alot easier to get to end game When lineage is more about making your own storyline that is very based on ofc pvp and drama. Lineage takes abit longer to get to end game. And if you "really" want to matter in the end game it takes a very long time.

depends mainly on pvp or pve. which you like better. i havent played L2 since gracia (i think tis called) came out but if that patch made the lower levels go by quicker L2 will be A LOT of fun. if it still takes forever to get to higher lvls id pick EQ2. EQ2 is fun throughout, L2 is pretty boring early/mid game, but veery fun end game |

I would pick EQ2 if I were you. L2 has been my favourite MMORPG ever since Open Beta Test in 2004, but I think EQ2 is more worth your money and time. It's a cozier and more relaxing game. I mean it's pure fun, whereas L2 is more just addiction and annoying at times. Also EQ2 has more people playing in starting towns etc, which is fun. I mean it's a lot more fun to reroll characters in EQ2 than it is in L2, that's why there will be more people in starting towns. Also I have a feeling that there will just be generally more people playing EQ2 than Lineage 2. I have a lot of good memories from EQ2, it's a great game. Go play it! Current mmorpg: None |
