At least MMO offer different scenarios and possibly with tougher monsters, different combat tactics. As for Lotro though... well.. Also if graphics and enviroments mean nothing, then why are you even trying an MMO? MMO are for people who want to experience a new world. If all you do is want to fight, go play Call of Duty, your complaints are superfluous because MMO's obviously don't appeal to you. LOTRO is IMHO the BEST PvE game out there. Rich backgrounds and stories, great mature community, barely any spammers. As realistic graphics and designs as your going to get (WoW with their cartoon characters don't appeal at all to me). As for combat being the same? You think taking down the Shire wolf is like taking down a raid monster? Wow. I'm sure anyone who has ever been in a raid is having a good chuckle at that. Janissan writes: I have never been in a raid persay. But I was in an assult on a keep in the Moors(LOTRO) and it was very intensive. This looks thrilling to me. When other "Real Life" people depend on you to pull your weight to defeat a foe such as this and/or to keep them alive,( I am a minstrel) then your heart starts pounding and your hands are shaking and well.. it is very exicting.. Ragnaven writes: having fought the watcher I will tell you it is massive, and the fact they added in npcs getting chunked around by him makes it a lot better that some low lvl wolf back in the shire. The game has come a long way, all mmos have. I've played almost every mmo out there, lotro has something that even WoW doesn't. If I had to put my finger on it, I'd say it was they did the crafting right. For a lack of something better it is a great mix. A mix that I don't think we will see again. As to Cujo wanting a game more real look into the old republic. BioWare is wanting to do reactive combat, actual weapons clashing and so on in their game. It maybe the next evolution in mmo's.
