Enik writes: LOTRO is a very fun and very deep MMO. Despite being an old game the graphics are quite beautiful on ultra settings. And the community is very friendly and helpful, pretty much the opposite of most MMOs. The only real downside is that it can be pricey for expansions and the online store, if you don't have the time (or stomach) to grind for points. Overall highly recommended for people that like themepark MMOs. Wed Jul 29 2015 1:43PM
PascalC writes: LOTRO was the BEST mmo from beta (was in closed beta) to Moria. But it's no more than a screenshot maker now. Lost all interest for this game. Fri Jun 19 2015 5:13AM

Athisar writes: Very dated engine, but wonderful graphics for what they can do with it. Atmospheric sound. So much content you'll never get through it all. Sun Oct 05 2014 12:22AM

jeffm writes: A great, beautiful game with an incredibly wonderful storyline. Played from Alpha through over 4 years and level 76 characters. Can't speak to recent releases. But, for sure, the game is great through level 75, worth every penny. Best community ever. Sat Mar 29 2014 1:11PM
ninjagranny writes: This was one of the best games around until Helms deep expansion which has led to mass exitign of player as it has dumbed down what was a very good game - its now the same as the rest , just not as good Tue Jan 28 2014 11:44AM
sam212121 writes: Pro: F2p until lvl 30 and amazing playing till lvl 50s 60s. Awesome Middle Earth to Explore (iconic lands and characters). Con: Total P2W with cash shop bonuses. Especially PVP sucks! And staring ~lvl60 they have butchered the game and the world. Conclusion: Play up to the end of Moria (lvl 60). Its very much worth the experience. Thu Jan 02 2014 5:30PM
blubsterer writes: Graphics: a bit outdated after all this time, but stzill a huge, beautifully handcrafted landscape to get lost into Sound: Really good Music, but not too much different pieces Role Playing: Maybe the best game out there to RP. Lots of costumes, locations, people dedicated to RP. Really a blast (not to mention the lore rich setting of LotR) Value: the ingame shop is not strictly needed, but without it, the grind is so hard, noone with a job can handle it. Useful items are really expensive ... Fun: the last 2 expansions just were bad. So if you wanna hurry to endgame, jyou will be very dissappointed ... Community: One of the best Communities I#ve ever witnessed in a mmorpg. With the f2p conversion things got worse, but from a very high level :) Performance/Lag: this game is old. And what makes things worse: it even started with a flawed engine. Combat always felt laggy and unresponsive. Really bad. And it got worse over the time. So really no highlight. Customer Service: Long ticket waiting times, the CM Sapience is a asshole, the forums are a joke. So really bad as well ..... Thu Nov 28 2013 4:47PM
