Update 6 Screens

Turbine and the Lord of the Rings Online team have released a big batch of new screenshots from Update 6: Shores of the Great River. The new screens show off LOTRO's new Soldier on Landscape feature which allows players to summon a skirmish companion in the field. It also allows players to customize the skirmish soldier to help players to take on every challenge.

Instance Finder Being Refined

New Explorable Areas Added

Turbine has announced that seven new explorable areas have been added to Lord of the Rings Online. Players can now head to Thinglad, Parth Celebrant, Eorlsmead, Wailing Hills, Limlight Gorge, Brown Lands and The Rushgore for more adventures.

Turbine has announced the released of the "Mithril Edition" of Lord of the Rings Online that will only be available at GameStop. The new version of LOTRO sports a nifty $29.99 price tag and a bunch of special edition in-game goodies.

Buried Treasure Event Announced

Lord of the Rings Online players will want to check in this weekend for the Buried Treasure Event. During the event, players can complete repeatable quests to earn tokens and items. There are also special event mounts, emotes, cosmetic items, housing decorations and more.

Prince of Rohan Launches

Called "Prince of Rohan", the new content allows players to continue the storyline started with the Rise of Isengard expansion that launched earlier in 2011.
