LoTRO Lottery
Turbine wants you to try out their my.lotro community site, and is announcing a new LOTRO Lottery to encourage players to get involved! The lottery can be entered by clicking on the lottery widget on the left-hand column after logging into the site with your community login details. Once you've clicked on the widget you'll be able to enter your characters into any applicable drawings.

The first trailer for the upcoming "Siege of Mirkwood" digital expansion to The Lord of the Rings Online is now available! The new expansion is set to launch on December 1st, 2009. The new expansion will conclude Volume II: Mines of Moria, and bring a number of new features to the game.

Volume III Kicks Off in Early 2010
The upcoming digital-expansion, "Siege of Mirkwood," will conclude the storyline of Volume II: Mines of Moria, but what of Volume III? According to a GamerZines interview with Turbine's PR Manager, Adam Mersky, Volume III will kick off in early 2010 with the game's next content update following the release of Mirkwood.

New Expansion: "Siege of Mirkwood"
A new digital expansion for The Lord of The Rings Online has been announced today. The new expansion, entitled "Siege of Mirkwood", will bring the culmination of the epic storyline that began with the Mines of Moria, or more specifically bring the game to Book II Chapter 9, and will include the Epilogue as well. In addition to the story content, the expansion will bring a level cap bump to 65, introduce a new 12 man raid, and a smattering of three to six man instances.
