First weigh the considerations, then take the risks. ~ Helmuth von Moltke the Elder |
How many players want to buy a house in the same neighborhood as their Kin but can't due to so MANY houses being owned by players who haven't been subbed in months maybe even over a year and thus as a result the Houses are locked.
For the love of Zeus bring back the old housing system where if you did not pay you lost your house just change the system where the players won't lose their stuff that way everybody wins. |

There are several major problems with housing. (1) Turbine gave up on it. aside from the patch notes that they are fixing 1 statute size, it has become a totaly ignored game mechinic. (2) New houseing neighborhoods do not open up unless one becomes full. This can take a while as 80% of them are full of forclosed houses, a state of how the game is going. (3) They should look at how EQ2 did housing, one house with multiple instances for each toon that way you dont need all the extra neighborhoods. The way it is currently is just pathatic. (4) I agree with the op take the houses away, stash the stuff in the players escrow account and refund the players money. (5) give me the option to sell my house, and get my cash back before I move or decide to fold my kin.

Having the option to sell your House on the AH would help alleviate the problem. |

Sadly, Turbine has it's head up it's butt concerning housing. The beggining housing system was actually alright....as a bare basics start to housing (though I would have LOVED SWG style housing).. All this time later, and it's still pretty much the same. All that time spent on radiance gating. which it seems most people don't care for, could have been used on housing improvements....... |

But even those radiance items aren't very hard too obtain, even for extremely casual players like me, but I can imagine it'll become boring if you want to raid with all your alts and they'll be hard to get for people who solo all the time (but why do those people need items for raiding?). They made it even easier after Mirkwood (they can be bought with coins that drop in any instance (before they dropped and had to be rolled for: each item in its own specific instance - some easy, some very hard) and the new items have more radiance on them). People complain too much about this. But I agree on the housing: more and better would be better! |
