Yeebo is spot on again, there is no such as *REAL* PVP. The closes to "REAL" PVP is Battlefield, Counter-Strike etc.: the ones that require human skill more than turn-based skills. No problems with strategy though, but in classic MMORPG's like EQ, WOW, LOTRO etc, human vs human fight is a lot more about strategy and experience, than "skill" - in the classic meaning of the word. Too many retards posting here dont even play the game, one of the big reasons why there is no full ganking in lotro other than lore is the players that were atracted by lotro when the project started didnt want the game to become a gankfest. All the "hardcore pvpers" that come here and whine should just go play L2 and enjoy the grind/gank, because lotro will never have rvr or any kind of open pvp. And no dont pretend you know anything about the lore if you have seen the movie. |

Another example of total failure in reading and comprehension. Before you try to play smart and bash a game, read up. Turbine has long expressed their intention to let players enjoy the middle earth from the side of the "good". PVP zone ettenmore is more a minigame (though it can be very excited), than the main theme. They are opening up MoM, maybe one day we can go up to Isengard, but still we are playing the good side trying to visit Isengard and do quests (sabotage the furnace?, save the trees?). The title of this thread is even more ridiculous. Real PVP? So what PVP is unreal? Playing game A is real, game B is not real? Come on, get real. If you want to be real, grab and knife and go to the backyard. Write your will first. The tone of this thread, as with the endless tides of PVP gankers, is tiring. If you want your form of PVP, go find your game. Stop trying to look big, stop pretend to be smart or special b/c you do not enjoy some of the mainstream. Being different is not being smart per se. The wise man leave no trail on the sand behind him. People like the OP who cannot stop showing off their colors for the sake of attracting attention fails miserably in other means of gaining recognition and self esteem. It seems so obvious ... you said. It seems so obvious you are totally clueless, I said. |

spirited response, therefore biased but all poster on mmo forums are either biased or very mentally deficient ( buying 6 month of aoc without ever playing a released version, anyone?) btw the only real pvp is when a player starts fighting with another player irl, all the rest is just stuff in a video game |

That is ofcourse technically true and I am well aware of the irony inherent in the message but on the other hand wanting PvP in a game is obviously just as acceptable an opinion as finding that a game is fine without PvP. |

Oh this is a great advice. Kudos to you. Enjoy the games you like, enjoy the parts of the game you like. Why some of the mainstream games have a lot more and stead sub that the niche games? They usually offer a lot of aspects, from crafting to exploring to quests to raiding to PVP. Almost everyone can find something they like, its like a big super store. I like the positive tone of the reply quoted. Take what you like and move on, he said. Bashing and trash talking leads no where. |

Ok but why whine because a game which the devs advertised as the best pve game has few pvp options ( as much as most of the non hardcore mmos). Sure wanting pvp is normal but this game has one form of pvp and the devs arn't gonna change it because some ppl ( that are prolly just waiting for war) want a ganking mode in the game. |
