Anyone else have this issue?

Well they NEED the customers because LOTRO was in free fall these last months.

In April they reached the lowest MMO marketshare since launch (0.9% marketshare).

Meaning 230 K subs or less. Worldwide that is. Their max was 1.3% (Oct last year).

In Belgium it's being sold new at 7 Euro a piece.

Played it for 3 months. It's about the maximum my skin could sustain.

ok... thats nice son but it doesn't help me in the slightest. Why are you in the LOTRO forums if you're obviously so against it?

You might as well post "the sky is falling" along with it.

Yeah seriuosly where are you getting your info. And freefall is not even close. Actually it's quite the opposite.

OP They are having the welcome back weekend so things are rather heavy on the servers. Especially the heavy pop ones. It should put you in a queue to log in though.

Sorry fatpanda, I haven't.  I updated the client (was like 1 patch file) and signed in.  Then was a subscription page, I clicked "Next" (it was clickable now and this was last night) then it proceeded as it should.

Also you might wanna refer to this article and then tell me that LOTRO is freefalling. If you are going to refer to mmogchart than this article means that LOTRO has over 500k subs, not the 150 that mmogchart stats.

Means nothing, until Turbine releases numbers... everything is an estimation.

Well...the NPD can be believed far more than mmogchart.com

Not really... they probably used the Boston Globe article as a reference... which stated Lotro has 800,000+ subs, However, the way the Boston Globe determined that number was from Turbines statement of "Having 4,000,000 characters created".

Regardless of what source you choose to believe, until Turbine comes out with official numbers... it's silly to believe any of them.

LOL. The NPD is going to use far more than just a Boston Globe article. They're one of the most reliable marketing research groups in the world. That means their numbers are far more than just guesses.

NPD use actual sales and distribution numbers provided by retailers. They have access to the numbers from the developers themselves. They've also got their own market research and metrics that they use that are far more detailed than just educated guesses based on a newspaper article or two. Why? Because their research is done for businesses that have a vested interest in seeing it so that they can then benchmark their own products accordingly.

If LOTR Online is big enough to come in third on the NPD list, it's doing far better than the MMOGChart site suggests.

To the OP:

I re-installed the game off my original disks and patched it overnight through the launcher.

It started up just fine as of Thursday night EDT.

Perhaps you've got the wrong PW or account info?

How big is the current LotRO folder, where is it located, what OS, are you using the administrator account through your OS (needs certain rights to patch) do you have firewalls, anti-virus programs up.

When you have a problem you might want to give some basic information for others to troubleshoot, IF you actually are interested in a solution rather than just complaining!

If you are just trolling for complaints do a poll.
Have you actually tried Turbine's CS (Customer Service) or their forums?

I think you're reading, waaay too much into the OP comments.

But you are correct, the answer would probably be found quicker and easier by reachin Turbine.

Yes I contacted Turbine. LOTOR is update as I reinstalled it and it downloaded all the patches etc.

BTW sorry here I'll fix it so you can take whatever is in your ass out. If I try and log in is tells me I do not have an active subscription. This is logging in with the account I used for beta and upgraded to a regular account for awhile. Login and password are correct.
