To complement Donna Desborough's look at Book 7, the latest content update for Lord of the Rings Online, we present sixteen new screenshots from the expansion.
Those don't appear to be high res. There are hundreds+ of screenshots available of LOTRO, especially Moria and beyond, that show excellent high res scenery/textures.
Funny, I think the game looks better in screen shots. When you're in the game moving around there is all that texture popping, it's really distracting. The mip-mapping code is screwed up (or something). It was like that way back in beta, but I had a crappy video card then. I figured a 4870 would solve it but it's still there. Hey, at least the hitching's almost gone.
So is that giant beastie in the cave the 12 man raid boss? Looks pretty cook whatever it is. I'll never see it if it's a raid boss...raiding FTL.
i still amazes me how amazing this game looks. even after all this time.
Looks like once you leave the nice starting areas the graphics are really going down hill.
Holly crap, have you seen these lousy ground textures? This is the worst I have seen in the past few years.
Or are these low settings shots?

Ok, these screenshots look really awful.
yeah those screenshots are a bit meh.
If your going to take screen shots, please use a better machine. This is DX9 on about low-mid settings.
Just a suggestion.
Its not the new raid boss, probably from the epic quest. And why is raiding FTL? Its like grouping but with more people :)
yeah don't let those pics fool ya....someone me thinks forgot to jack up the graphical settings before taking the screenies.
Lol yeah, looks a bit like EQ2. ><()
I havent seen it yet in real being from silly Euroland, but generally LOTRO looks way better than screenshots can show. ;)
