Too little too late, GW2 is too close.

There is so little real info on how the game will play, at least with GW2 we know all the features it will have and how well it all works, thugh Yoshida has been more open than Tanaka ever was, 2.0 has been kept more under wraps than any mmo project except Titan, they need to open up NOW, we need tons of footage, international beta access, and a major PR blitz given how much bad PR from the first launch they have to overcome.

GW2 is a sure bet, this is still a heck of a risk, its one thing for Yoshida to keep those (for some reason) still playing FFXIV 1.0 fairly happy but 2.0 needs to not only stand up to major competition on PC , on a larger scale than the last 2 yrs, but make enough cash from the PS3, the least popular of the 3 consoles, that's already has its fill of some bad FF games lately. This is the last chance for the FF franchise and Squarenix.
