Stephanie266 writes: NOT WORTH THE TIME OR MONEY. While at first I found this game to be a great replacement to WoW this feeling changed quickly within the first few months. Repetitive questing/crafting/gathering got old very fast. Chatting in-game is difficult at best since you have to disable it to avoid the constant gold spamming. I did find the graphics to be very nice and even doing instances was much more enjoyable than anything I found in WoW. What finally got me to leave forever was their customer service, or I should say 'complete lack of'. The worst CS I have found in any game that I have ever played ever. (and sadly enough I am old enough to trace this experience back to Ultima Online from back in the day...) Mon Jul 27 2015 12:26AM
mmorpgolstimer writes: on an average? amen this game is good specially if youre on ps4 on Pc costs too much for nothing. Customer service = stfu and dont bother us with real issues. SE is too busy sucking on your credit card to bo bothered by anything else. seen only 1 competent gm so far in 18 months of sub. once heavensward comes out new players will cry their eyes out with a truck load of progression grind from launch to 2.5.5 and then catch up with heavens wards once every players will already be done plowing the game to its extent and spend their days in afk mode. MW2K writes: I'm not sure what game these people here who say "excellent game" or "best thing ever" are playing. Maybe they're shills or trolls. Maybe they're easily amused. Maybe they get off on doing simplistic, repetitive, tasks. Anyhow - my take on this in pro and con form: Pros: * It's pretty * Vibrant music * Well designed and animated character models * Switching jobs and classes on the fly is a new twist - largely in theory though * You can track your character through SE's FFXIV website. It's a neat touch. Cons: * Mindlessly simplistic combat mechanics - you mash the same two/three buttons from levels 1 through to 50 irrespective of class or job. In other words, it shows its console heritage * Everything is on the same cooldown timer * Combined, the above two points quickly devolve into boring and repetitive combat * Can't skip the cutscenes/theater after character creation. This aspect gets old quickly * No zone or global chat channels. You're in a heavily-populated though silent world. * /tells are worthless as most people have them disabled due to rampant gold spammers * Most characters look the same - everyone gets the same quest reward gear * You can't mail alts money or gear or materials. You need to join a guild with a company chest open to do this, or trust a friend to do it for you * If you play a DPS class, expect long waits to do instances * Quests are the usual kill x amount of this, or gather x amount of this to hand in. No real innovation here * This is a subscription only game and it's debatable it offers anything over and above many free to play alternatives. Very debatable. All up, 5/10. Wed Apr 29 2015 6:35PM
Moirae writes: Decent game but the gold sellers are destroying it. And whats worse, there's no way to shut off tells and blacklisting them does pretty much nothing because in two minutes, you'll receive another gold seller message. Sun Apr 19 2015 3:27PM
Warzod writes: Decent WoW clone made worse by a terrible company. Customer service is one of the worst in the industry. Cash shops, rampant bots/gold sellers, terrible western support. Trust me, pass. Wed Mar 18 2015 1:06AM
