Fans had the opportunity to submit questions to Naoki Yoshida for answer during the Eorzean Question Time. For 40 minutes on Sunday morning Yoshida answered questions that were pre submitted on Saturday from the venue or from the Forums. The following is a highlight of what was asked and answered.
On the evening of the Frankfurt Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest there was a cosplay contest to celebrate the joy of final fantasy. There were 30 entries selected for the final stage presentation. From those seven were chosen for additional recognition. One each for most unique, most detailed, and most entertaining. Then the final three judges choices followed by the best in show.

At the end of the latest Live Letter from the Producer in Frankfurt Square Enix was the recipient of 3 Guinness World Records. The first of was achieved for an MMO having the longest end credits, with Final Fantasy XIV coming in at a whopping 1 hour and 38 minutes. The second was for the most original pieces of music in a video game at 384. The final award was for the entire franchise, Most Prolific Role Playing Game Series with 87 titles.
At Final Fantasy FanFest Frankfurt 2017 there is a fan art contest on display. Robert Lashley has included a few select pictures of the art for your enjoyment that attendees get to vote on. They all weren't paintings either. They even included a few statues or stuffed animals.
For one weekend only Frankfurt Germany became the Mecca for Final Fantasy XIV. Earlier this morning Square Enix kicked off their third and Final Fantasy FanFest prior to the launch of their newest expansion Stormblood. To get the celebration rolling Naoki Yoshida opened the event with his keynote speech after an expanded Stormblood cinematic.
The EU Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest will start on February 18th and will run throughout the day on Sunday, February 19th. Attendees will be able to take part in panel discussions, concerts and learn some of the upcoming news about the game during the event being held in Frankfurt, Germany.
