World Merge Incoming
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV world will be merging on March 27th. The server count will go from the current eighteen to ten. All players will be required to choose which server they would like to live once the merger is complete.

Goobbue Mount

Subscription Billing Resumes January 6th
The Final Fantasy XIV team is reminding players that subscription billing will resume on Friday, January 6th. Players have been able to play the game for over a year without a subscription due to the difficulties experienced on FFXIV's launch.

December Producer's Letter Published
The December Producer's Letter has been published on the Final Fantasy XIV Lodestone. In it, Yoshi-P explains the slight delay of the 1.20 patch and announces that 1.20a will arrive before year's end, with 1.20b set to go live in early 2012. In addition, players are let in on the news that the 2.0 battle system is ready to begin the earliest phases of QA!

Good King Moggle Mog XII Battle Trailer
Square Enix and the Final Fantasy XIV team have posted a new trailer that features Good King Moggle Mog XII, a new boss set to arrive with the v1.20 patch. King Moggle Mog XII will take on groups of eight level 50 characters in an epic battle. This video shows off his awesome power. Check it out!

Achievement System On Its Way
When v1.20 arrives, Final Fantasy XIV players will have the opportunity to score achievements in tons of areas. The dev team has updated the official site with a list of achievements being considered for implementation in v1.20. Of course, the list is a working one and is subject to change.

Subscription Fee to Resume January 6th
The Final Fantasy XIV team has announced that the player subscription fee will resume on January 6th. They have reduced the monthly subscription by one third from January through the release of FFXIV 2.0.

New Roadmap Details Significant Changes Incoming

Working List of Changes Coming in v1.19a
