Hey everyone!

I did not see our fansite linked in the sticky'd thread yet.  So I'm making a formal introduction thread about our site.  Final Fantasy XIV Core.

We're a fansite for the upcoming mmo Final Fantasy XIV by Square Enix. Our aim is to be the number one fansite, with the most interesting discussions, awesome community and latest news and information.

Currently we're running on a dedicated server and are sporting the new Invision Power Board version 3.0 which is far ahead of other forum and community platforms.

The FFXIVCore community website exist to provide a friendly and active community for those who are interested in Final Fantasy XIV. We also provide the latest information and news. However, we aim to display the true appearance of the Final Fantasy XIV community and thus leaving it for the most part - Uncensored & Unmoderated. We welcome posters to post at their whim, without any regulation because it shows more accurately how the Final Fantasy XIV community is, and how the personalities behind those who play Final Fantasy XIV.

We're quite a few people behind this site, the site admin of the #1 Lineage 2 fansite l2guru.com is an admin, myself (previous admin at aionsource.com, the #1 aion fansite, among other sites) and several other Final Fantasy and MMORPG fans.

We have some interesting resources, such as The Ultimate Final Fantasy XIV FAQ and we're also on Twitter and Facebook.

So, if you have a few minutes, head on over and join.  We'll be at GameCom 2009 to cover the game.

This is one of my favorite FFXIV fansites because, please just check it out.

Thanks, but I think you forgot the reason why its among one of your favorite fansites ;) Hehe.

By the way, we're going to add a powerful wiki which will be integrated with the rest of the site fairly soon.

Well, MMORPG.com and Tentonhammer.com and IGN.com don't count.

So, fansites like yours which are made for just the purpose for FFXIV, your website is very organized, easy to read, you know where to find everything, and the community is very nice. Can't expect any better out of a fansite.

What sort of format will you be using for the bestiary portion of the website? I'm actually quite interested in collecting the information for it, once the game is released.

Strange, I did not see our site listed in the sticky when I checked the other day :)

FFXIV Core is going to be transitioning into a new dedicated server! So no more downtime for the site! =D

There is a lot of information coming soon with GamesCom 2009 right around the corner, so make sure to favorite FFXIV core for all the latest FFXIV info.

Thanks for the nice feedback.  We've just moved the site to a brand new dedicated server.

Ah, good to know, I mean, I know this is a popular website and server shutdowns isn't a good thing at all. I was getting scared for a second there.

Anyway, Aionsource used to be an unpopular fansite, but now there's over 40,000 registered users and over 2000 people on at any given time, during peak hours there's over 4000 people on.

So, I'm sure that http://www.ffxivcore.com will definitely follow in that path. But, on the other hand, there's a lot of FFXIV fansites out there, our home MMORPG.com is one of them, followed by ffxiv.zam.com, tentonhammer has a section on the forums, gamespot.com and soon ign.com will have a spot.

But the only 3rd party FFXIV fansite ahead of you guys is eorzeapedia.com/ They're ranked in the top 200,000 on alexa.com, but still you guys are shooting up the ranks much faster than I'd have expected.
