People are responding to it because you bumped the thread by posting in it.

When you reply to something, it takes the thread from where ever it is in the massive heap of posts, and places it directly on top. That's how forums work. That's how they've worked for a long time. At best, the thread will probably just be locked so that it can't be brought to the top again.

"I want to play an online game with other people"

"This game makes me interact with other people!?!"

"Oh I quit, I have to play a social game with other people!"

That's today's playerbase...
