I thought it would be fun to make a speculation/discussion thread on the content we haven't seen yet. What do you guys think?

I imagine the FATE system will resemble XI's besieged and campaign systems, likely with some improvements (such as the auto-grouping YoshiP mentioned). I doubt it will be as extensive as GW2's dynamic event system that people compare it to sometimes but IMO that's fine.

As for the bestiary, what do we know of it so far? I haven't read anything about it yet... From name alone I would imagine it's some way of tracking monsters you've killed which will likely turn it into an NM hunting side-game to give the obsessive completionists some long-term goals. :)

I believe Yoshi said in an interview that's how the beastiary is going to work and that it would be another way to level solo. Unless translation on the lodestone was wrong.

FATE may be expanded into something closer to GW2's DEs as they are looking more and more at GW2s mechanics. I hope so, it would work well with the new world design.

We've seen more and more instanced areas/events directly implemented in open-worlds, allowing players to enjoy solo contents featuring very large environments or more optimised PvP events. I hope these F.A.T.E will make use of such systems in order to make them more enjoyable and to allow the to be a bit more flexible.
