Welcome once again boys and girls to the Quiz! That time of the week where I lay out some questions to test your knowledge in a particular category. In celebration of Bill Murphy's Rant this week, please find below some questions on the games that he singled out as having the worst launches.

Q: World of Warcraft has had an ongoing comic book series based on the popular game released since 2007 and wrapping up in 2009. What is the name of the publishing imprint who released the content? Bonus points: Who is the founder of this particular publishing imprint?

Answer

WildStorm, a branch under DC Comics' tree, publishes the World of Warcraft comic books. For your bonus points, WildStorm was founded by DC Universe Online's Executive Creative Director, Jim Lee in 1992.

Q: Anarchy Online came in on Bill's list as the second worst MMO Launch. What is the name of the planet in which the game takes place and, of course for bonus points, what is the name of the megacorporation that has control over the mineral-rich planet?

Answer

Anarchy Online takes place on a planet called Rubi-Ka. Omni-Tek is the megacorporation that holds primary control of the planet.

Q: Funcom's second entry on the list, Age of Conan, has all new characters start in a common locale within Hyboria. What was the name of this island? A bonus question? Sure! What is the name of the Author who created the Conan lore?

Answer

Age of Conan starts off with your character alone on a beach on the island of Tortage. Robert E. Howard (1906-1936) is the creator of Conan.

Answer

Star Wars Galaxies dropped on the general public (in North America) on June 26, 2003. The release dates of the Star Wars movies, in chronological order, are: Star Wars (May 25, 1977), The Empire Strikes Back (May 21, 1980), & The Return of the Jedi (May 25, 1983).

And since the list itself was only five entries, I've decided to choose a couple of the other games that I saw some of you mention in the comments as well. If we could've done a list of 10, I'm sure we would have. Enjoy the bonus questions!

Though they would eventually come to be known as Sony Online Entertainment themselves, development on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes was completed by a company then-known as Sigil Games Online.

Darkfall contains the ability to fully loot your fallen adversary, including ridding him of his gear and gold that they're carrying on their person.

Q: We'll wrap it up with the one I thought I saw the most in the user comments. Final Fantasy XIV launched the collector's edition of the game on what date? And how many days had FFXIV been out of open beta before launch?

The Collector's Edition of the game was released on September 21, 2010 (The regular edition following suit on September 30), a mere two days after open beta closed on the MMO.
