Dungeon Fighter Online is a free-to-play 2D side-scrolling fighting MMOG, where players must hack-and-slash their way along a linear path through hordes of monsters. Players begin in town, but may venture into dungeons to take on champion monsters and boss monster. Controls are simple, yet effective, with eight directions of movement, assigned attack, jump, and use skill buttons, Characters advance by collecting and spending Skill, Style, and Technique points.
Neople has sent word that should bring a smile to fans of 2D side scrolling action MMOs: Dungeon Fighter Online is now available on Steam and includes brand new achievements, badges, and trading cards. In addition, Neople will be hosting several opening celebration events including unlimited resurrection in several areas, an increased gold drop, stat boosts for characters up to level 50 and much more.
The latest patch has been deployed in Dungeon Fighter Online. Along with a level cap increase to 85, players can now try out the female Slayer class. A sword wielder, the Slayer imbues her weapon with powerful magic in her arm. Check out the Slayer's new video before heading into the game.
Neople is bringing Dungeon Fighter Online back to life and will kick off the open beta on March 24th. Dungeon Fighter Online will be available through Steam though, as yet, there is no "store page" for the free to play title. Nexon, former publisher of DFO, terminated the game back in summer 2013.
The Dungeon Fighter Online team has let us know that it is running a special Facebook promotion to raise 'likes' to 30,000 by the end of the month. If reaching the goal, fans will be awarded a special avatar when the beta goes live in March 2015.
According to a new post on the Dungeon Fighter Online site, the game will begin a ramp-down process on April 11th in preparation for a June 13, 2013 shutdown of the three year old game published by Nexon.
