Trion Worlds has released a short Rift trailer showing off one of the new features coming into game, Action On Demand. A simple click of a button and players are whisked off to instant action and are able to drop in or drop out at will. The rewards, say the devs, are well worth the effort. Check it out!

Game: Rift
This looks ok... and tbh this game is, system wise, well above SWTOR in what it offers. Shame it's gonna be steamrolled by the gimmick of VO and a huge IP.
Wed Dec 07 2011 10:28AM ReportWhoever reported this didn't get the name right. It's Instant Adventure, not Action on Demand. Anyways, thank you Trion for doing it right... This is miles beyond what was seen on the PTS and beyond my expectations, you never cease to amaze me.
ToR can eat Rift's dust. Rift won't be steamrolled... those that have given the game an honest try and stuck around for any length of time know how well the game is and the development team behind it. I'm willing to bet that ToR's assumed success won't be anything near what people say.
Wed Dec 07 2011 11:20AM ReportIf you're not worried about SWTOR, why do you keep talking about it? Rift's a good game, so is SWTOR. What's more, they are different games--there's plenty of room for both.
As for this feature, it's a good move by them. It help counteract the appeal of the arena games and lobby pvp games.
Wed Dec 07 2011 4:06PM ReportTrion needs to stop selling the game. Also feel that saying "never seen before" is simply poor markets. The game has amazing features, that should speak on their own terms with out these really short and pointless videos.
Trion, you have your player base, work for them and not for the people who aren't playing your game.
Wed Dec 07 2011 6:50PM ReportI haven't tried it, but I'm told that all it is is suddenly put into a location with some other folks and kill 15 things over and over with random boss spawns.
Wed Dec 07 2011 9:29PM ReportAt least you no need the trinity to play this , much like war PQ
