Tue Nov 08 2011 9:03AM ReportI think the pace of new content release is why Rift has been able to hold on to so many customers. The game was fun for me until I hit cap. No matter the amount of content the game all but dropped the dynamic gameplay in favor of a geer grind and to me that's the worst part of most MMOGs and like quests, is an old style that is going to be left behind with the advent of Guild Wars 2 and subsequent MMOGs. After all to me it certainly looks like GW2 will change MMOGs as much as EQ and WoW did. Quests will be yesterdays way of driving content, geer grinding will be yesterdays flavor of end-game content.
