The v1.7 version of Rift will bring many new features into the game including the marriage system. To celebrate, Trion will be attempting to set a world record on Valentine's Day for the most virtual in-game weddings in a 24-hour period.

Players will be able to head to the wedding vendor in their faction's capital city, purchase a ring and give it to their intended. The betrothed can also add a scripted wedding event to the nuptuals that includes a reception for up to 200 guests, special wedding costumes and a traditional walk down the aisle.
