  • Nightmare Tide Expansion Announced

    Trion Worlds has announced the next expansion for Rift. Called "Nightmare Tide", the expansion was detailed in the latest State of the Game letter. Players will be taken to the Plane of Water where they will find open zones, a new rift type, an increased level cap and more. Nightmare Tide is expected to launch later in 2014.

  • Bindings of Blood Readies the Beatdown for Players

    Yesterday Trion launched Rift's Bindings of Blood Tier 3 Raids, the brand new cutting edge (or bleeding) edge endgame content for Telara's most ardent PVE players. These brand new 20-person raids will test the willpower of even the most dedicated Rift raiders, as on the PTS not a single guild was able to fell the two big bosses: Greenscale and Akylios. Bill Fisher and his team are confident it'll be a different story on the live server, but players are always surprising them.

  • PvP Dimensions Tools Now Available

    Trion has sent word that Rift players can now start building their own PvP dimensions with the just-released tools. Players can get their hands on faction banners, kill zones, scoreboards and an ingenious things called invisible tiles and spheres that have the potential for all sorts of nefarious hijinks.

  • Arbiter & Physician Souls Revealed

    During a Live Stream event last week, the Rift team revealed two more souls that will be coming into the game soon. Rogues will see the arrival of the healing-specific Physician and Mages will be able to choose the Mage tank Arbiter. As yet, not much is known about these two new souls but Trion has promised to reveal more in the coming days, according to Rift Junkies.

  • Steppes of Infinity Conquest Slated for Friday

    The Rift forums have been updated with a notice that PvP players wishing to participate in a new "Steppes of Infinity" Conquest event. During the event, players will meet at the Forts and work to collect (read: steal) the other team's stones and transport them back home. Once the kill count reaches 1,750, the race is on to beat the timer as the winner to collect newly minted loot.
