Just when you thought cash shops apitimy of F2P MMO's now mom and Dad can set up a Virtual Piggy for Jr to spend yet even more money on these F2P games. You know when I was a kid My mother gave me SNES games that I enjoyed for hrs at a time. She did not have to contenue to spend her hard earn cash to keep me playing. That show you how pathatic these F2P companies are willing to go. Willing to make it more easy to steal Mom and Dads hard earn money just so JR can happy. Do kids even ride bikes anymore or jump rope? In this case I will blame the parents for giving into JR and not making them go out side and play. |

hmmm, your mother gave you games? My mother made me earn money for my things by having me do actual chores (not making my bed or setting the table).

I hate when mmo players act like they never played video games with others when they were kids...

The OP hardly makes any sense. I remember buying Mario Kart 1 back then from my birthday money and it equalled 70€ in the old currency. Now 70€ .. damn that's quite a lot for a game even in modern times. So I don't see how it's any problem when parents have an overview and give their kids an allowance of let's say 10€ a month. Not much difference to a classical subscription and compared to my Mario Kart, it means the kids will be fine on their game for the next 7 months. The decision here is made by the parents and has nothing to do with "greed" from f2p companies. |

I think you're being a little unfair there OP. Giving kids an allowance to manage themselves (often gradually increasing it over the years / under certain conditions) has been quite a classical thing for many years indeed. Now it's just electronic rather than cash. I'm not too familiar with the system, but from what I garner, it's not just used to buy games with. You could also use it to buy items for real-life use, such as well... balls and bikes. |

If the parents are the one to set it up doesn't that place the responsibly on them also? Sounds just like a Paypal account to me so I'm a bit confused where the problem is.
Dear developers, In my humble and inexperienced opinion if I can get through all the content you spent the last 5+ years working on within 6 months you have not done your work justice. Please give me, and everyone else, some tools to create our own content from what you have made so I can stay in your world and appreciate it longer than three weeks before I say "meh". It's a shame and I'd rather not do that to something you put so much of yourself in to. |

There are good and bad points. Just off the top of my head - quickly.
Good 1. Parents know what their child is doing online and can ultimately control it 2. Parents ultimately say yes or no.
Bad 1. Developers get hooked on CS's 2. Kids expect more of this.

Yes, you hate F2P. We get it. I just don't think you realize how badly that hatred has skewed your view of things. filmoret: One thing I have never figured out is why the game devs hardly ever fix simple problems that arise. It is like they don't care about the pvp community. Nitth: What makes you so sure its a simple fix? filmoret: Because most of them are. Sometimes its just changing a number in a code string other times its creating a few variables. However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

Its not 1992 anymore. Instead of spending $40-50 bucks on a snes game they add funds to an online accont. Times change. not always for the better, but change non the less. Its a digital age with books, music, games, movies and more in entertainment. Better get used to it. |
