EA recently hired Andy Belford (Second Skin movie, Community Mgr for WAR and CoH), as the Global Community Manager for a new, yet to be announced project. Considering Andy's background it's almost certainly an MMO.
Quote from Andy's Linkedin page regarding his new position: "Leading the Community team for an exciting new project! More information to come soon™..." |

EA + anybody who worked on WAR... the Force is not strong with this one.
CU FP#0: The game must be fun. This overrides all the other FPs. Interested in: TESO, Wildstar, CU |

New project .. maybe it's a reference to the "Super Secret Space Project" freeroam space for SWTOR?
EA doing MMORPG's has been rather disasterous, and they are probably wondering how to recoup lost time and money from SWTOR rather than trying to dig another hole somewhere else.
EA just lacks the skill, motivation, and innovation to be successful as anything more than a hype publishing company. /shrug
new project =/= new game Want a nice understanding of life? Try Spirit Science: "The Human History" |

With EA attached, I think I'll just stay away as far as possible.

There is no good or evil, only power - and those too weak to seek it. |

Madness! I would trust them to run a piss up in a brewery! EA proved how dogshit they are at predicting what the community wants in their games. "Trololol SWTOR failed because it wasn't free to play! Trolololol now we're going to add the worst pay to win garbage ever!" |

On to the subject of the topic, EA has proven time after time in their MMO ventures that they are incable of making an MMO that the major populaton enjoys. I really don't see anyone caring for this project unless as someone else said, it's a Mass Effect MMO. Smile |

Originally posted by dreamsofwar I would play it if they get rid of the world, and make the game into an online RPG instead. TOR is a pretty good game without the MMO parts, and if the combat is improved. |

Not even a Mass Effect MMO would get me interested (plus ME is dead to me anyway) in anything EA has to offer at this point. As far as I'm concerned they simply don't exist. I'll stick with EVE and WoW, TYVM. |

Originally posted by theoneandonly Big companies can sell there game off IP alone and not put any real effort into the design or mechanics (SWTOR, WAR, AoC etc.) I thought that was apparent. But what we’re targeting to do, is have a fun anniversary to the Ilum shenanigans that happened.
