Just came back to this after playing GW2 for about 15 hours this weekend. Already bored.. not my cup of tea. So far having fun playing Rift again seems to have come a long way since I played close to launch.

Joy...pve, pve, pve...how about something for the most broke part of the game, pvp. conquest is not real owpvp...its just a mass zerg running from point to point, sucks. BG's are gap fillers...they get boring after a week. How about adding in clan holdings that are siegable by other clans or arenas that have rankings...wow, that would be cool...nah, lets just add more pve...gj

I think Rift is the best mmo out of the recent crop in the past couple years. Their dev team, qa, feedback and suppprt are all around some of the best i have seen in the genre. It is insane how much they have changed and added since launch last year. Themepark is not a sub genre, its an excuse. |

Seeing as in most games the pve serves have more people than pvp servers I can see why games focus on pve. More people want controlled escort pvp than ganking open world pvp.

Looks like a good expansion for the fans and subscribers. I have always been a fan of this game and Trion. The only reason I quit is because of the Raid gear grind end game. I do enjoy raiding but honestly dont have the time or energy for it at this point in my life. For those that do its a great game by a good company that I feel actually cares about their product. I wish them luck and success with their expansion. If they decide to focus a bit more on open world events and Rifts I may come back. Added raids and gear progression just wont draw me in personally. best of luck and I think the current players will enjoy this alot. |

Originally posted by itgrowls I don't seem to recall it being that big a deal TBH. I did it twice and both times, within a few days to a week, I was "Raid Ready" as well as being able to keep up in the Expert Dungeon speed runs. Of course if you are talking about having BiS in every slot, well, then yeah, that's a grind. But that would be a personal goal and not a requirement to do what you want and not be barred due to sub-par gear requirements.
Also, Rift has a huge open world content system. The zone invasions are a lot of fun and they happen frequently enough. If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |
