Theres a ton of haters on the game due to hardcore citybuilders complaining over the lack of one or two features - ignore them, unless of course your hardcore into the genre. The game is alot of fun. Visually it looks fantastic although could use abit more optimisation. The Online Mode (Planet Mode) allows you to have a persistent city and visit other people's, along with trading online and chatting to other players - its a good feature one that hopefully will continue to be expanded upon from updates, and this certainly seems to be the case initially. Currently the 'Planet Mode' isn't the greatest value for money but it will cost you half the price of a standard 'MMO' and for me that extra online persistent element that it adds is worth it. As for it being a mmo, well aside from the trade which is not working half the time and a chat system, I would say mmo description is being kind. Whilst I love this type of game I still dont feel it's worth a monthly fee. So if your going to play this expect it to be a solo game and then you wont be disappointed. Sun Nov 01 2009 4:38AM

The online component I'm ambivalent about. It's great on one hand, but on the other hand, it creates even more bugs than this game has already, and that's quite a few. It's beautiful though and you will be very addicted despite the flaws. Hopefully they'll be addressed soon. Tue Oct 13 2009 2:47PM
zandion writes: I was a huge Sim City fan and did not expect a non-Maxis title to be comparable. I am so blown away by this game's depth and detail. This is beyond my Sim City 5 wishes. I was skeptical that I would participate in the online aspect but I now see the potential. I cannot wait to build up my city and trade resources.
