The first content pack for Monte Cristo's city building sim/MMOG, CitiesXL, is now live! The pack adds a number of additional buildings to all CitiesXL players including a high school, a farm, and even a Ford dealership. Planet Offer subscribers receive get their money's worth and enjoy significantly more additional content including an "Old English" pack of Shakespearean inspired medieval buildings, three new maps, and a number of megastructures including "The Rock" Alcatraz prison.

CitiesXL features a robust feature set of city building tools for aspiring mayors, but unlike traditional city building sims, CitiesXL also features a fully online component called the Planet Offer. Players who subscribe to the Planet Offer ($9.25/month) will be able to build up to five cities, receive regular updates to the game, and trade with others.

The demo will be available throughout the month of September and will allow players to try out three of the 25 solo mode (50 for Planet Offer) maps, and build cities with a population cap of 22,000. The full game will allow for megalopolises with millions of citizens, among other things.
