I was admittedly skeptical about this game, but even if it ends up a theme park grinder, at least we get a bit of a new flavor. The modern setting is cool, as is the horror aspect.

If it ends up a themepark grinder..what does that even mean? it is a themepark no secret there but grinder on what grounds?

This game has a lot of promising things about it, but I can't forget what happened with AoC. I will at least give it a chance, though, when it launches. It looks too interesting not to at least try it for a month.

FUNCOM didn't do well with the launch of Anarchy Online or Age of Conan, but both game became great games and still hold top ratings on this website (MMORPG). FUNCOM has provided year of entertainment for me and the game where well worth the subscription price.  I am a huge FUNCOM fan and the only thing I could imagine that would be better than The Secret World looks is if they decided to make Anarcy Online 2. I have been playing MMOs since the 90s (First game "The Realm Online") have spent countless of hours on many MMOs. However have not logged as many hours on all the others combined as I have the two FUNCOM games I have played. I honestly didn't like the idea of the modern day when first word of this game came out, but after really looking close at the no class, skill wheel, no levels, and "everything is real" I am really excited about playing this game. Only thing i have to say is /game on! 

All trolling aside, I'm frankly getting tired of hearing about this game. Not even a closed beta talked about as of yet it's more like an alpha. I bet there's no more then 2k people alpha'ing it right now.

I lost hope and on the GW2 bandwagon now. lol. Gods I hope it turns out alright.

Looks very interesting.  I dont see enough well developed desert areas in MMOs.

One problem with the video though:

What is with so many videos or trailers doing the monster roaring into the camera at the end of the trailer.  I feel like ive seen it a million times before and that its way over done.

they could do the roar but not show the monster doing it, it is much more fitting. while you hear the roar you see the text. Roaring in the camera is so over done.
