It's Funcom. Age of Conan was supposed to have action-style controls, aimed ranged attacks and sandbox play.

Some time before release, they scrapped it all, copied everything except graphics from WoW and shoved it out in a hurry.

Athenae: regarding the animations I will have to agree, but I believe they will get better before launch, since Funcom is hiring animators and have until april to fix them. ;)

One problem with realistic graphics like TSW have is that the animations have to be as good, or they look out of place.

Can't possibly hold hope for this game. FunCom is making it. It will be years before it's reliable and has content. FunCom is famous for not learning anything from their previous titles and mistakes made with them.
