Given the producer (Tornquist), I expect this game to be very story driven.  Any fans of The Longest Journey series (also produced by Tornquist) should immediately spot the similarities in art style.  I too expect this game will be heavily instanced.  However, it is my hope that Funcom will finally learn from the mistakes of the past and make this game one spectacular niche game option.

Hopefully have FC got rid of most of the bugs from the engine so this launch will be better than the other 2.

I am not sure if I will play it or not but it is not impossible, I like modern horror settings and London looked great.

I'm just not sure about the post-apocalyptic setting. It's almost too dark, too gritty, takes itself too seriously. I'm not sure I would want to  log into a world like that week after week.

I've also never seen an MMO use guns, and not have it come across like a cheap, clunkier version of an FPS.

While I was once hyped for this game, the more I see of it, the less excited I get.

The game isnt set in a post-apocalyptic setting. It's set in a now-a-days world where all the myths of legend are starting to manifest themselves in the real world, and various powers are manifesting themselves in humans.

The graphics are a bit dated, but I think it's because they've been working on the game for so damn long now and with good reason. They can do a patch or exspansion that makes the graphics better later on. They're really trying to bring something special to us with this one. I LOVE that whole getting to see your character's origin thing in the game. Very cool, very comic book. I hope for more cool story stuff like that in the game.

Having no leveling and no classes sould be VERY interesting, and give players a nice sense of freedom. Plus walking threw and doing stuff in London is going to be so awesome.

Can't wait!

I like the character story, it was something I wanted so badly in CoH when it came out. Combat is hard to judge until you play it! The concept is wicked as the story line is super rich from a real world history and not another fantasy.

No classes is interesting but I wonder how they are adding advancement, Eve did it with time, WURDS does it with usage. There is still a lot that can be done with how one creates and develops a character.

The story, setting, and gameplay look great. The atmosphere looks like it's intended to be dark, but it's not ... scary to me. This is important in a horror fantasy game, and I think the graphics engine is letting this down. On the same note ,the monster textures need to look more - monstrous? Horrifying? Slimy, toxic, nasty, whatever - these are creatures from nightmare and the texturing is very important. They should evoke a shudder upon seeing them, and atm, it's just a mild sense of wierdness.

Short version, most of the game looks really solid, but I hope they do a lot more with the atmosphere and monster graphics.

I played age of conan for a year and a half. I probably played it too long. While they have made many improvments they removed what drew me to the game in the first place. It was a brutal pvp game at first. When they added  penalties for certain types of player killing, it made it less appealing to me. Hyboria is not supposed to be a nice place, they made it too comfortable for casual players, less tense for hard core pvpers, and almost civalized. I hold a grudge, and will play the old republic instead of secret world. I just wish a game who claims to have brutal PVP would not give into whiny players. Perhaps one day i will find a game that suits me.

The audio in this video plays silly buggers with my surround sound. O.o Pops & bits that prompted me to test my system on other sound sources.

The fight animations are very basic, old-MMO-esque, so I hope that they improve the combat before the release.  Anyway, this is one that I'm keeping an eye on.

I can't wait for this game. I'm tired of little kiddie mmorpgs. The character models and cinematics do look like they need some improvement, but it's only Alpha so plenty of time to do that. Landscapes and atmosphere are awesome, as well as the story/dialogue. Combat would have to be actually played for any further judgement. Two thumbs up on this. It actually IS different from current MMO trends imo. I've played basically every kind, from MUDs in the old days, to EQ, and onward. So glad to see something different finally.
