Daedrick writes: This game will fail IF; -its not seamless -its not Real time action -its not First person view or over the shoulder view for fire arms -it doesnt have a good itemnization -it doesnt have a good economy -gameplay is clunky -its BUGGY And believe me, I really hope it wont have what I listed above because I LOVE THE LORE ( good vs evil, modern settings ). stormious writes: You can definitely tell that he is enthusiastic about his product. That is always a good sign. The guy seems very much aware of how to handle things. I'm not going to worry about the game just cause another title from the company didn't deliver, and this isn't even the same team working on it. He explained they have learned from past mistakes, and wasn't instanced zones the most complained thing in AoC? Nickinaround writes: He didn't reference AOC on his own, he did it because that is what the interviewer asked. Its not like he wanted to draw the correlations, but that is what the interviewer asked, so he answered. But finally a game that is out of the norm, that finally grabs something that noone has been aiming for and that is a game outside of the fantasy/sci-fi realm and going for a different kind of setting and realm! Svayvti writes: With Gaute gone and Ragnar in charge this may have a chance. Wish Ragnar had been able to go back to save AO from the mess Gaute made it. Of course now people really just don't trust Funcom any more so Ragnar has a large uphill struggle to make with players. Inktomi writes: I like the honesty that he displayed with the errors of the AoC launch and the fact that they are learning from past mistakes. That shows progression. 1) I like the RL setting with occultish touches. 2) No levels or skills, awesome. Train what you use and progress your character the way you want to. 3) Third time is the charm! IMO, Funcom has been around long enough to establish themselves as veterans in the MMO industry. This could be the big breakout game for them, I'm going to support them 100% in TSW. I was a big fan of AO and I always wanted them to redo the AO world in better setting and graphics and felt those resources weren't spent correctly on AoC.
