ukii writes: No lvls means skill system, which means grind all over again. You can't escape from the grind in mmos... I the no lvl system is great, but dont expect too much or you'll be dissapointed. hidden1 writes: I suppose grinding for certain skills can define your character as a "class-type" if you will, though technically classless, I imagine you can still build a swordsman, gun/range, or magic/summoner type, and/or I suppose a hybridization of any of the mentioned "class-type" builds. Well at least seems more flexible than an MMO with official classes, and the class restrictions thereof. Since it's modern-based, one wonders if they'll go the slight sci-fi route an allow for implants, and slightly futuristic weapons and gears, or will it be true to modern, conventional technologies? If you don't want grind you get a game like Darkfall... so be carefull. Still grinding skills instead of levels seems to give you more freedom and perhaps will keep people on the same level. Wizardry writes: I cannot believe how naive many people there are.It is famous marketing,where a game says they are NEW and DIFFERENT,but you know what,this will be the same old.If you listen carefully,you HAVE to unlock areas,so JUST like AOC in Tortage,most of the houses are static unlocked.Typical design of a solo player console game,AOC is famous for this. This type of system is EXACTLY what a level based system is,there is no difference at all.In a level based game,after a certain time in the game you will be attaining new spells and abilities.In this game you are not going to have EVERY spell/ability,you will gain it over time,just as in a level based game,be it through use or other means.IMO this game will offer NOTHING new,does not mean it will be a bad game,go ahead and enjoy it,but please don't be fooled into thinking it is a unique game.The object is to save the world,yep that's a unique idea ..umm sorry not. alliko writes: I think the Asian look to the trailer is due to the fact that it is in Tokyo... He did mention that they had in the works several cities including Tokyo, london , Cairo, etc. I think it would be a real thrill to be fighting vampires on a double decker in london in a modern day setting. Maybe they will even have current news clips on the TVs in the homes/malls/businesses that we will be exploring. Yeah there will always be grind to anything... but this grind may take us new places. Maybe the grind will be conspiracy quest driven that will force us to interact with new agents or delve deeper into our newly arisen powers... will force us to sneak on airplanes to help agents in the middle east.
