The folks at UGDB recently got a chance to sit down with Funcom's Ragnar Tornquist to talk about their upcoming MMOG, The Secret World. In this latest interview, Ragnar Tornquist reveals a few nuggets of interesting information, such as the fact the game will make use of instanced dungeons (although they won't be calling them that) and even reveals a bit about the conspiracy theorist in himself, saying he believes there is "much more to this world than most of us are aware of..."
Reported on Oct 22, 2009Funcom has announced layoffs of 20% of their workforce today according to a story being reported over at Eurogamer. The heavy layoffs will unfortunately affect the release of The Secret World by "several months" according to Funcom. It is unclear whether or not this change will also affect the release of the upcoming Rise of the Godslayer expansion.

The new trailer, much like the one before it, features a young, seemingly innocuous girl, this time moving through a park at night. With only a small black feather found on the ground as warning, the girl is assaulted by a dark raven-like creature who she fends off with an explosion of light emanating from a cross she slams into the ground.

With introspective questions such as, "Who rules the world?", your answers will determine which of the game's three secret societies you are the best fit for. Users who complete the initiation test will join one of the three secret societies and be entered to win a beta test spot.

If you've been following the game, you'll remember The Secret World's creator and Game Director, Ragnar Tornquist making mention that we'd hear much more about The Secret World later in the year. The Community intends to buy the flag at a London auction and present it to TSW Executive Producer, Ragnar Tørnquist when the artifact is returned to Norway.
